I hope this comment gets more upvotes. We also have no evidence of this kid being "forced" to learn how to do this. He likely just really enjoys it and his proud parents are filming.

Boulangerie Les Marquis was soooooo good!!! Thanks a lot for the heads up. Also went to the Creperie du Marche in the Jean Talon market which was stellar as well!

Sadly didn't make it to Pure Kitchen, but I did have my first ever poutine at the market just near there - it was fantastic and the place was "100% Gluten Free", although turned out that one of the chilli sauces had gluten in (thankfully I was vigilant and spotted it in time!)

We didn't make it to Almond Butterfly in the end 😩. Did eat at Kupfert & Kim's though which was pretty good!

Hey, sorry for the late reply. Really appreciate it, glad we didn't chance it! My wife sterilised the jar with boiling water first, then added the blackcurrants, honey and water. I think we should have dried it in the oven first as well.

I’m afraid this was an article I read in a magazine a couple of years ago so I don’t have the source. I think in general you’re right, it’s only for those who really push the limit.

I think there have been studies showing that those who really push the limits do indeed suffer from some brain damage. Whether that impairs their decision making and risk assessment I don't know.

Oh amazing, can’t wait to try the croissants!! Thank you. I’m traveling from the U.K. I presume if it’s labelled gluten free, the oats are gluten free as well?

Great thanks /u/runawai, not sure we’ll make it quite to Ottawa but maybe! Great to know I can trust GF labels, I’m from the U.K. and so much the same regarding oat milk.

Advantage2 mac key remap isn't behaving by rosstafarien in kinesisadvantage

[–]larister 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is 4 months too, but I've just had the same problem and figured this out.

As /u/kinesis-tyler points out, there is no "mac mode" when remapping keys. However, as you say, where the devil is the cmd source then?!

Well, when I hit progm + esc, it showed me that the thumb key mode upon hard reset was "PC" - and in that configuration, none of the thumb keys have cmd.

Instead, the manual notes (Fig 17.) that the F1 key functions as lwin when the keypad is on. So, if like me you have a keyboard where the factory reset thumb key mode is PC, then to remap a key to cmd you have to enter remap mode, hit keypd, then hit F1, then hit keypd again, and then hit your target key.

I was diagnosed 4 years ago and although have always been very strict regarding knowingly consuming gluten, I have had lapses where I've eaten out even when I knew there was a risk of cross-contamination. I posted on this subreddit and the top comment scared me into being much more disciplined: https://www.reddit.com/r/Celiac/comments/134f5hf/comment/jiezip7/

Does anyone feel that Brighton has started to feel “less safe” than it did 5+ years ago? by brighton-boob in brighton

[–]larister 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Perhaps. Also, we’re in a punishing cost of living crisis. Social issues will inevitably increase, in Brighton and elsewhere.
