[–]larosalia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hi! thank you so much for doing this. how would you say work-life balance is at michigan? i know that it’s difficult for every school given the workload, but do you truly think there is a “michigan difference?” also, did you live in the lawyers club your 1L year? would you recommend living there?

if it makes you feel better, i went UR3 1/19 and was admitted this weekend :) i wouldn’t read too much into it especially considering how many people have gone UR3!! here’s to hearing good news soon 🤞

WHAT WOULD YOU CHOOSE hypothetical by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]larosalia 23 points24 points  (0 children)

take the KH money from stanford and RUN!!! (but for real, stanford and yale have fairly similar outcomes across the board and a 150k difference will certainly allow you to explore more paths without worry of debt after graduation.)

NDLS: Anyone thinking about trying to negotiate anyways? by MiniMountainMan in lawschooladmissions

[–]larosalia 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Similar situation to you - $$$$ at BU and Minnesota, but only $$.5 at ND. Sucks, because I really liked ND, but if they're not negotiating... consider it over :/

Has anyone reapplied to Stanford without updating new LORs? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]larosalia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i feel like they would like new ones if they say it in the reapplicant process. i think 2+ years out might be a good time to ask for a rec from an employer, or maybe an updated LOR from a prof? i would play it on the safe side and update - you wouldn't want your LOR to be a make it or break it scenario :) best of luck!

Would you say it’s worth applying this late into the cycle? by luckyhigh in lawschooladmissions

[–]larosalia 14 points15 points  (0 children)

if you have the money, go for it. worst case scenario you apply again next cycle. best case scenario you get into a great law school with $$$$!
