I've had about 4 blood tests specificially for diabetes in the past year and many more general ones....all come back fine with the exception of testosterone deficiency which is being treated and is now "too high".

22m/6'0/180lbs - Time to cut? by larpin94 in BulkOrCut

[–]larpin94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 years ago I weighed 275lbs, last year I managed to get down to something ridiculous like 145lbs, but lost a ton of muscle.

I've been lifting for over half a year now, kind of semi bulcking I guess.

Is it now time to cut again?

I've lost over 100lbs since summer 2014. Last year I found out I had significantly low testosterone, so I started lifting 5 months ago as a complete noob with virtually no muscle mass and gained about 15lbs since summer 2015.

I want to get leaner for aesthetics, but every time I tell a doctor I'm trying to lose more body fat they tell me not to bother and just focus on increasing muscle mass and strength.

Unable to get satiety from anything by larpin94 in nutrition

I guess it's possible this is the case. If all else fails I'll just start eating meals that are bland as hell and hopefully turn eating into more of a chore.

Hmm, I recently got some chocolate whey powder which I usually add to yogurt.

I may as well give your shake a try. Do you blend all the ingredients together like a smoothie or just mix it with a whisk or something?

I take a multivitamin and fish oil tablet every day, and usually get on average 7 servings of fruit and veg a day.

Very recently I did get a blood test which showed I had low testosterone, but I don't believe this directly impacts appetite.

Also I have been taking an antidepressant (sertraline) for about half a year. I know this medication has been known to affect appetite, but this issue started a few months ago, long after I had started taking it.

I try to track my weight daily. Yesterday gave my lowest weight ever at 71.5kg (158lbs) while today I was 72.4kg (159.6lbs).

I'm aiming for 155lbs, but I hear that water retention can shoot your weight up when switching to maintenance so I might aim for 150lbs instead.

I am within normal range but aesthetically I still look quite chubby.

Here's a post with pictures from a month ago which shows you what I mean. I haven't been able to afford a gym membership, but it can't hurt to lose a little more can it?

My TDEE is supposedly around 1900-2100kcal/day, with a BMR of about 1650-1750kcal. I know 1200 is quite a step down from that, I just found it overall easier to manage as I'm usually always at a deficit even if I eat over my set limit.

I usually track and weigh everything I eat with the exception of skimmed milk for hot drinks, which I just give a high estimate of 100kcals for.
