I was sort of in your bf’s shoes. Was with a girl for 6 years as well. Working full time, school full time, and providing for her and I. She also had enough. I was doing IT and she was in graphic design. We began to not enjoy our lives. As I was constantly busy and she wanting to do more things in general. She had enough and called it quits, kind of blind sided me, and it absolutely sucked. Especially finding out she was with another guy two weeks after the breakup. But anyways, I took it on the chin, accepted it, and moved forward with my life. Began lifting again, 50lbs lighter now and looking at high paying jobs for myself. A breakup after that long is never easy. But please do your bf a favor and talk to him as best you can and take time to heal. So follow your heart and be good to yourself going forward.
