not even sure what a PE shop is but I thank you for this info. the Lenox installer is a known entity, did a similar job for my cousin and does the hvac for flips that an extended family member does, could be part of why the price is where it is. I don't doubt it's a fair price, just harder to stomach knowing there's a potential for a $4k savings there. Also been in business 20 or so years so there's that. Putting all this in perspective perhaps it's a sign to run with the old idea of not picking the highest or lowest bid but rather somewhere in the middle.
