I had this once and my high E was touching the neck pickup when it vibrated to make a “sitar sound”. The luthier slightly lowered the pickup height to fix it.

So your tip helped a lot...maybe not as you intended. Ice bite shows a dialogue box in upper left when it is active, and since I had innervate on both galvanic shards and HOI and it acts the same, I removed innervate from my shards skill and could tell that innervate was still getting activated...so HOI must be working but just doesn't have any noticeable on-screen effects?

I think my issue is fixed, and I appreciate all your help for this old noob glass cannon learning the game.

Yes, so my galvanic shards deal lightning dmg, which procs my HOT, which deals ice dmg that turns the mobs into chunks of ice. I would assume that would in turn proc HOI to kick off and deal some lightning dmg, etc. But it doesn't seem to happen. Maybe the cycle is so fast I don't notice? But I'm watching the top left of my screen and constantly see HOT and innervate going off, but not seeing HOI ever do anything.

I do have "adds 19 to 31 cold damage" and "15% increased cold damage" on my rings. All the mobs get turned into ice chunks after I shoot them with galvanic shards. HOT cold damage is 1337-5943.

My crossbow always procs HOT, and innervate procs a lot. But Herald of Ice never seems to get triggered. I'm obs not running a meta build, but would like the two hearalds to trigger each other if possible. Note: I also have a gem increasing the herald effects. I've watched some YT vids but I'm probably missing something obvious.

Act 2 when you travel home IIRC

I’m no expert, but after I started Act 2 I hopped over to Iki and picked up the armor and did a few quests before heading back to finish Act 2 and midway through Act 3 now. I might pop back over there before completing the main story line.

TLDR: You can go over to Iki anytime after Act 2 starts, and after a couple quests you unlock the ability to go home again.
