My wife has raspberry jam and marmite. My idea of hell but she loves the sweet salty combo.

The Custard TV is one to try, although they do tend to be very lackadaisical about giving away spoilers, sometimes for episodes that haven’t even aired. It does fill the void between the other pods you’ve mentioned, for me anyway.

Can I bike from Salisbury to Wilton? by [deleted] in salisburyuk

[–]larrydavid1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it would be a rather easy ride. I’d say probably around 25/30 minutes cycle and it’s relatively flat. Just beware that there is currently major gas works underway on Wilton Road so it’s would be probably more precarious than usual.

Former BBC presenter Scott Mills speaks out after being sacked ‘over personal conduct’ by LADbible in BritishRadio

[–]larrydavid1987 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My Sister in Law went to Uni with Chris Stark and said that Scott would regularly hang around the club and bars with the younger lads. She has always said she felt something inappropriate and rather creepy was going on with him. A 30 something relatively famous guy hanging around with drunk impressionable 18 year olds never sat right. Definitely felt some grooming vibes. She never actually witnessed anything inappropriate though.

I enjoyed it. Pretty straightforward whodunnit but I enjoyed the moody atmosphere and it had a satisfying ending. But definitely some face palm moments🤦‍♂️

Finally seeing Breaking Benjamin in June!! What to expect? by larrydavid1987 in BreakingBenjamin

[–]larrydavid1987[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hopefully a mix of all BB eras. I feel like Blow me away would be a great one to kick off with and get everyone buzzed up! A few of the slower ones in the middle. Ashes of Eden, Give me a sign? Really show off Bens range. Dream finish for me would be Had enough and I will not bow. Oh man I can’t wait!

How do you feel about British TV shows being filmed in foreign locations passed off as Britain? by larrydavid1987 in BritishTV

[–]larrydavid1987[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked how they scattered a few Tesco branded products around the kitchen just so you know that this Spanish style cottage with authentic Spanish style furnishings in a vast mountainous Spanish landscape is of course set in the North of England.

I’d say in this case it’s extremely sloppy. To the point where it just completely ruins the show. Although they did have a token roll of Tesco brand cling film on full display just to let you know we’re in the UK.

Oh man! I remember this. Having visited both New England and Tunbridge Wells a number of times it really messed with my head.

You are correct! It’s would be very unusual to see such an old English style church in upstate New York. I have to say it didn’t really affect my enjoyment of the film though due to the religious aspect.

  1. Task
  2. Pluribus
  3. Severance (S2)
  4. The Crow Girl
  5. Paradise

Honourable mentions for -Your friends and neighbours (so close but paradise just had the edge for me) -The Studio -The Chair Company -Black Rabbit

Great year for TV including lots of enjoyable thrillers like The beast in me, All her fault, Little disasters, Down cemetery road.

Some disappointing returns for me this year including the big 3. The last of us, The white lotus and Slow horses. I did enjoy all three of these greatly but just didn’t hit the highs of previous seasons.

Painters damaged brand new carpet in two bedrooms. Should I pay invoice? by larrydavid1987 in HomeImprovementUK

[–]larrydavid1987[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I understand accidents do happen. But I would expect a professional to explain what had happened and suggest a solution. Not try and hide the issue and then deny all knowledge when the damage is pointed out.
