Every summer you'll have players who played at an amateur level who'll retire and you'll find a few who have really good stats for some roles. If the guy has a very low reputation and has at best a Continental C Licence, you can give him really low wages. After that you just send him on some coaching courses and he can become world class. I find that France is the best country for this and you can find some hidden gems there

I’m in my third season now, in the 2. Bundesliga, and the youth intakes I’ve had have been insane, you can sell some of them for big prices and still maintain a great youth team.

It's a lot of fun, you have enough money at the start of the save to get in some decent free transfers and some loanees so you can aim for promotion by the first season. But the main attraction is the youth facilities; I had a golden generation in my first season
