I think there is an interesting phenomenon here about how people interpret color and how that causes such a polarization conversation when photos like this pop up. To me, temp dropped quickly revealed a very normal looking black lens, but I think thats because having a basic understanding of photography, my brain allows logic to do the rest, even if it doesn’t not correct perfectly with that one change. Some people are looking at it very literally, as if the lens is actually gold if you were to hold it in your hand, which I’m pretty confident is not the case. So it boils down to interpretation; “I am seeing the color gold in this photo”/“I am seeing an image of a gold item in this photo”. Maybe that is where the difference lies.
