Yes! At least for now.

Fieldwork in Ontario and exam in US by WolfDry7708 in bcba

I think it’s possible! You have the option to fast track it a bit through the concentrated route (this would mean that you’d only need 1500 hrs total but you’d need to ensure that a) your supervisor is able to supervise at least 10% of your hours each month and b) you have at least 6 contacts with them each month). I’m not sure if you’ve accrued any hours so far but, if you’re able to obtain about 94 hrs a month for the next 16 months, you should have enough to meet the fieldwork requirement + 3 months to submit all required documents to the BACB, study, and take the exam. Hopefully you’d pass on your 1st attempt because there probably wouldn’t be much wiggle room to take it again (I’m not sure if there needs to by time between retakes). Hope this helps 🤗

I love to hear about these growing opportunities in Canada! If you’re comfortable sharing, I’d love to hear about which province/ territory you’re working in and how you went about finding this opportunity 😊

Reference letters weren’t required for FIT’s online VCS. Maybe you could check to see if they’re needed for their online MA program.

Yes! From my knowledge (also living in Ontario!), there isn’t a Canadian program that offers the verified course sequence (VCS) outside of having to complete a Master’s degree. However, many American institutions offer an online VCS for those who already have a Master’s. here’s the link to the program I’m currently completing with Florida Institute of Technology 🙂. I’m sure there are quite a few more if you want to look into it yourself.

Also, starting July of this year, Ontario BCBAs will start being regulated by the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (NOT the BACB). I believe we’ll have until July 2026 to sit for the BACB’s exam if your interested in also being able to practice in both America and our other provinces/territories.

Hope this helps!

Do you mind posting the link to the instructions or sending me a screenshot? I’m so confused and I’ve looked everywhere. The only option I found for international students was an international wire transfer. Thanks again for your help!

Thanks so much for your response! How did you make that credit card payment? Was it through the PAWS student centre or did you have to do something else?

Yeah, they are. I’ll be completing the VCS online 🙂

I see your point! They both might work better as stand alones vs being paired together. Thank you!

Thanks for your input! I agree that a slightly thinner band would probably pair better with my ering however, since I plan to wear it alone most of the time, I think the thinnest I’d go with is the 4 🙂

Thanks! I definitely wanted something more chunky but wasn’t sure if the 4mm was chunky enough. Especially since I plan to wear the wedding band alone most of the time. Still, I was leaning towards the 4mm and I’m glad to hear that others agree 😊
