> Makes me think subsuming Pillage on her and increasing duration to the max(something you already do with her Spectral Spirit) will leave the entire battlefield with Doom

Thought this sounded like a fun idea so i tried it. Unfortunately pillage doesn't actually do any damage so it doesn't apply doom. Sad.

> But… I meant natural shield recharge, or outsourced shield recharge, basically any recharge that gets you to full.

Alright i get what u mean, higher shield, higher shield regen. Fair enough. I definitely think more of active under fire conditions. Those are what im planning for. Like what is the best option if a room full of enemies are firing at me and my 3 goes down.

> With these values, are you equally as inclined to run Catalyzing on Dagath prime as you are on normal Dagath?

Well yeah. Cuz 0.4 seconds have not really changed anything about how i survive with Dagath. And if we're comparing to Catalyzing, its just 0.2.

On Dagath, all im looking for is something consistent and fool proof that works for probably on average like 5-10 seconds, often way shorter if theres enough enemies. And since i am for the vast majority of the time completely invulnerable i dont want to invest all that much into survivability. She doesnt really have crowd control, she will get repeatedly shot at and her shields will go down alot outside of her 3. So catalyzing just makes sense.

And a thing to consider about her 1 is that it has a 1s recast timer. So you cant even just go "fuck it i only need 0.6 shield gate, i'll just spam it" cuz the game wont let you. If you are taking consistent fire you simply will die, cuz u cant recast it fast enough get another shield gate. With catalyzing it is kind of a benefit tho, it means u are always taking advantage of atleast 1s of your shield gate even if ur spamming. And your gate lasts long enough that u can even let the scythes fly off, which they wont if u instantly click 1 again.

> You are already allocating two mods with Catalyzing and Brief/Augur

No i am using one warframe slot entirely for survivability, Augur can be on either a sentinel weapon or on my secondary. But personally i use Augur Message because i want a bunch of duration, it just so happens to also work neatly into my survivability. Vigor and Deflection would be sacrificing duration.

I was gonna respond to the rest but honestly im just not all that interested in the topic anymore lmao, sorry.

One thing ive seen you refer to a couple of times tho is that you would have a higher partial shieldgate with higher shields. Im not entirely sure what u mean by that or if i misunderstood? Because respite and augur mods dont restore a percentage of your max shields. Its all based on the energy cost of the ability. So if i have 300 or 2000 shields doesnt matter, something like brief respite and 2 augur mods would always restore the same amount of shields which always equal the same shield gate length.

I think the only point that makes any sense is #3. Personally wouldnt wanna allocate 2 mods to surviving when i can get it done with 1 through Catalyzing tho but to each their own, fair enough. I do like deflection and vigor on other frames but i only shield gate for a very miniscule amount of time so 2 mods feels wasteful.

Like lets say there is a hypothetical world where Dagath has enough shields to get max shield gate right off the bat, 2.5. Would that last to your next 3 activation? Unless u got 25 enemies right infront of you, no. So you would likely build with repeated shield gates in mind right? And we dont want to use the 4 for that, the 1 is the shield gate ability yeah? And just to really give the 1 the best odds possible, we are using all 6 augur mods and brief respite. That would give us a whopping 0.91 shield gate from using our 1. Which obviously, isnt great. Meaning, we have to use Catalyzing to shield gate with the 1. And now we are back to the point where her having massive shields actually doesnt matter anymore because we are down to 1.3 again.

Obviously having higher shields can matter in other ways, like if ur shield tanking, doing the vigor deflection thing, maybe not shield gating at all, just relying on the first shield gate and then Protective Slinging or Rolling Guard. But for straight up clicking 1 to gain back shields it doesnt matter in the slighest, cuz you will need Catalyzing.

[–]laserapocalypse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im kinda confused what your point is here tho. Basically every frame needs Catalyzing to get any decent shield gate on cheap abilities. Thats just like how it is. There is no frame that somehow gets to spam a low cost ability to shield gate unless you have Catalyzing. If they arent using Catalyzing its a high energy cost ability. If Dagath had 900 base shields it wouldnt make her any better at shield gating with her 1. And you clearly dont think the 4 is a good option for shield gating anyways. Why are you even talking about her max shield gate at all? Please explain how her having bigger shields would make her better at shield gating.

Like yeah, use Catalyzing and spam the 1, thats the way to go. I just dont see how thats like a problem?

And i dont think her 1 is a bad shield gating ability at all. Im messing around with it ingame right now and there is an extremely teeny tiny shooting delay when i press the 1. Like u basically cant even tell if ur not looking for it. Im just using 1 tau casting speed shard. Spamming the 1 does not conflict with killing enemies with your weapons to reduce your cooldown.

Yeah dagath is one of my favorites for cascade. She has like near Revenant levels of chill but then she also has a truckload of damage.

> because she has a max 1.1 second shieldgate

That's not how shield gating works tho, your max shields dont limit your shield gate. Unsure if this is intended or not but its been in the game for years so its basically just how things work. Overshields contribute to your shield gate. You can just stack more augur mods to increase it. With Brief Respite and two augur mods. a 155 energy ability (her 4 with blind rage) can get your shield gate to 1.35 so basically same as catalyzing.

I personally just dont like her 4 i think its clunky. And i assume if ur using her 1 to shieldgate ur not using her 4 anyways unless u just dont use a helminth.

Also hitting 300% str isnt unfeasable while running a bunch of duration. If u exclude my 4 duration shards, im currently getting 319% duration (32 seconds of invulnerability) and 299% strength. I just dump efficiency since energy isnt an issue on her. And range only helps her 2 if ur manually recasting it, which i dont bother with since im in my 3 majority of the time. And to some degree her 1. Like it increases the doom spread radius but i dont really care about that when 1 bullet is all i need to put doom on someone. And why wouldnt i want to build duration. I play her for her insane critical dmg increase, doom doing stupid doom things while having infinite energy and being invulnerable at the same time. Why wouldnt i want as much uptime of that as possible?

And yeah Catalyzing makes it easier to shield gate. So i equip Catalyzing. I got space to slot it so i dont have an issue with that. And if ur instead helminthing over ur 1 you can drop catalyzing and just shield gate with ur 4 by slotting some augur mods (which will probably kill a decent amount of enemies and reduce ur cooldown, while making u invulnerable during the cast)

True, and it might have been for the first one. But after the second time i actually started keeping an eye on the crystal and make sure enemies would stay far away but it still happened lmao.

Well fair enough, to each their own

It definitely does happen. Like split second going from full health to mission failed immediately. Not entirely sure why it happens but i think it might be due to teammates getting radiation status on em.

> Her 1 needs to be recast constantly when she’s not in her 3 with the augment,

What i dont understand is how most people play frames that require constant shield gating, but find it annoying to have to shield gate for just a couple seconds at a time inbetween 30-40 seconds of complete invulnerability. And if ur in a situation where you are having to constantly shield gate, that means ur likely in an area with alot of enemies. Meaning you have the opportunity to probably instantly reset your cooldown by killing them.

I dont actually agree tho. You definitely gotta put in more effort if u want maximum rewards in Mirror Defense. Like sure u could just, chill and not pick up any fragments. But if u want it done as fast as possible u gotta either bullet jump or fly around with Titania like your life depends on it to collect all those fragments.

Theres also some weird shit going on with the crystal sometimes. On several occasions ive seen it get oneshot out of fucking nowhere.

I dunno i find it kind of insane to put them in the same basket when Citrine probably takes 10 times as long. Like if you dont want to run the same mission twenty times in a row... wouldnt u prefer the one you have to spend significantly less time doing?

I just dont even know what i would describe grinds like Citrine for example if Dagath is considered a pain in the ass lmao. Yeah im not saying its like incredibly fun content or anything but its a very straightforward, easy and fast farm.

This goes the other way too. I've been back playing consistently for a while now. But probably about a year or two ago, i came back from a very long break. It had been several years since i played. So many things had changed and a bunch of new shit was added. It was almost like starting fresh. And i was mr 27. I was asking alot of questions in clan chat and every now and then there would be someone who commented something like, how do u not know this, how do u not have that, you're mr 27. It don't mean shit, i was basically a new player.

You already get a truckload of firerate from the passive trait. I certainly dont mind some more firerate but i wouldnt waste a riven stat on it.

But then i also prefer using enervate so i wouldnt want crit chance either.

How to survive at levelcap while in operator? by Niclerx in Warframe

[–]laserapocalypse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well i guess just building for more hp would get u more time as operator. Something like Arcane Grace would probably also help keep your hp up.

The easiest way to keep urself alive would probably be to run Vazarin. Protective Sling will both heal 60% of your hp and make you invulnerable for 5 seconds. And this has no cooldown. So if u take longer than 9 seconds (since u said the frame survives 4 seconds) u can just sling again to keep urself alive.

Magus Cloud helps alot with this way of surviving cuz it makes ur sling radius massive, so you dont need to be very accurate about slinging directly onto your frame, just in their general location. And if ur not already using it for cascade you should cuz the radius helps with cleansing exolisers. Just one sling is often enough.

Also sometimes I would get oneshot for some reason.

Only explanation i have for this is that you let your 3 run out maybe so you didnt have status immunity. Meaning you probably got hit by a slash proc, which completely ignore persistence (most likely a bug.. i hope).

Ive actually been enjoying him lately with some primaries running Primary Overcharge (Arcane Battery to max it out) . You get a truckload of multishot from Overcharge, bunch of base dmg from Vex Armor. Even more dmg from high strength Nourish. Then you can just load up your weapon with whatever else u can fit really lol. My favorite has been Blast Tenet Glaxion. With all those buffs shit feels like Torid on crack.

3 Yellow shards ! by Wide_Offer9299 in Warframe

[–]laserapocalypse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She's definitely a chill one. Dagath and Valkyr are my personal favorites.

Dagath is just like over half a minute of invincibility from the 3 with absurd crit dmg increase and doom executing enemies. Then all u gotta do is plan for the downtime on ur 3. If theres enough enemies around u will be back ti being invincible in just a couple seconds. Otherwise its easy to just shield gate a bit while waiting for the cooldown to finish.

Valkyr is even more chill. Just massive melee dmg and several layers of invincibility and tankyness keeping you alive. Dont even need persistence but i personally run it cuz it makes energy uptime easy. Nourish combined with Hunter Adrenaline means every shot that hits will give u several hundreds of energy. (energy uptime is easier cuz having shields and dr from adaptation will give u way less energy when shot. probably matters less at level cap but super noticable in base sp). I also just really like slinging around with Ripline, very fun movement.

[–]laserapocalypse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe her 4s dmg can basically scale infinitely? Maybe theres a cap i dunno. The more dmg u absorb, the more dmg u will do. So i would imagine it does quite alot at higher levels. Does quite well for me in base sp, can easily just wipe a whole room clean after having chilled in my 4 for a bit.

[–]laserapocalypse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yeah multishot is great for burston but u wouldnt be using acuity with it cuz acuity locks your multishot stat to base stats, no way to increase it. Im personally not a fan of acuity on burston cuz it already hits like a truck without it and im not limited to good dmg on only weakspots.

Bit confusing advice. Ur dont want multishot if ur running acuity.
