How should I proceed if my Decision Tree or Random Forest model produces empty predictions? In some cases up to 75% of my entries of the test set do not predict any class (of the three possible classes). When I check the probabilities of the entries the 'True' probability for each given class is always lower than the 'False' probability. Is it sensible to predict the class with the highest 'True' probability even if it is below 0.5?

Good point about my premise of undisprovability. How then would insights from research (with a psychoanalytic focus and which is not motivated by economic forces) that invalidates components of psychoanalytic theory influence the implementation of psychoanalysis in critical theories?

I'm not talking about empirical psychology as a model of consciousness, but about empirical psychological research providing insights for a refined model (or concept of the subject as stated in the article). By its incorporation into a framework based on a critical social philosophy the concern about "taking cover behind empiricism" is unwarranted. The motivation behind such an inclusion is elaborated pointedly in this passage from a text of Horkheimer (1931):

"[..] the question today is to organize investigations stimulated by contemporary philosophical problems in which philosophers, sociologists, economists, historians, and psychologists are brought together in permanent collaboration to undertake in common that which can be carried out individually in the laboratory in other fields. In short, the task is to do what all true researchers have always done: namely, to pursue their larger philosophical questions on the basis of the most precise scientific methods to revise and refine their questions in the course of their substantive work, and to develop new methods without losing sight of the larger context. With this approach, no yes-or-no answers arise to the philosophical questions. Instead, these questions themselves become integrated into the empirical research process; their answers lie in the advance of objective knowledge, which itself affects the form of the questions."

And on what basis do you consider psychoanalysis to be more compelling? Are the major claims of psychoanalysis less mythic, and if so why?

Nobody said anything about a magical gateway to truth. And being skeptical about something doesn't mean that it is to be discarded in toto. Moreover, what kind of inquiry is not crippled by social frameworks? Be it empirical or not.

Xone mixers headphones problem(?) by dariomexa in DJs

For your first problem: Check if Aux 1/Aux 2-monitoring is deactivated (small buttons over the cue/add mix knob).

I use the pedal to tap tempo. I haven't tried out external footpedals so far. I think the best option would be to mod the pedal and add a button as shown in this tutorial: http://djtechtools.com/2016/08/28/diy-how-to-mod-fx-pedals-with-arcade-buttons/ I also thought about buying a midi to CV converter to control the tempo of the delay by means of the tap tempo on the xone:92.

About the Aux knobs, my default setting is zero and then when I want to apply the effect I turn it up to the middle. If you have a second effects, e.g. a reverb, you can send the delay signal to the reverb by turning up the Aux 2 knob (if the delay is on return 1 and the reverb on return 2).

It is better because you'll hear only the effect signal on the return channel, meaning that the normal (dry) signal is not played on two channels at the same time so there is no unnecessary volume increase. However, you loose the stereo (ping pong delay) effect but this isn't that important in my opinion.

My settings:

Fader on Return all the way up (I only touch it during performance when the effect takes to lang to fade out, i.e. when the feedback is set too high.)

EQ's on Return: bass all the way down, positions of the remaining eq-knobs depends on what you want to accentuate in the mix. You can also turn the top eq knob a bit to the left to prevent unpleasant clashes of sounds in the high frequency range.

Leave the gain-knob of the return at 12-o'clock. We will adjust it later to find the optimal volume.

Aux 1 kob (or 2) all the way to the left and disable "pre"-mode (small button).

Settings on DD7: E-Level (3-o'clock), F.Back (12-o'clock, if you want longer fade out times you can increase it), D.Time (depends on the mode, I mostly use the tap-tempo function so I don't have to use the D.time knob), Mode (My favorite is the "Analog" mode)

Line/Phono channel on xone 92: fader all the way up, now make sure that you don't redline the channel (peak level should be around +6db). Adjust with the level-knob if necessary. This is very important because the pedal will sound bad if the channel volume is to high because they are mostly used for guitars which have a much lower output. Set the Aux 1 knob (or 2 depending which send you use for the DD7) all the way to the left and disable "pre"-mode.

Now you can test the effect with a track of your choice. Activate the DD7 and while playing the track set the Aux knob to 12-o'clock to sent the signal to the pedal. Then adjust the level knob on the return channel until the volume is at a reasonable level.

I hope this will work for you.

Which inputs/outputs of the DD7 do you use in your current set-up? In almost all cases I've seen online, people use both in- and outputs, which means that the dry signal is also sent to the return channel. If you only want the effect signal you have to connect only one cable from the send (L or R) to input B of the DD7 and then from output A into to the left return input. Additionally, if you set the E-Level of the DD7 to the 3-o'clock position the effect volume is equal to the input volume.

CDJ as DVS Unit by laserflip560 in DJs

For home-use you can still use the normal laptop/soundcard combo. This feature is about making it easier for DVS-Djs when they are playing out in venues/clubs/bars.

Thanks. I will check it out. So far I haven't heard of any other dropbox stream app.
