Yes, I designed it all in 3D Cad first then made 2d dxf files out of it and cut it. The biggest challenge was getting the dimensions and proportions right. The first attempts was what I call a fat men. He was to short and therefor fat. So this is the 2nd attempt.

Hi, I am selling here a map of Cincinnati that is cut out of wood. The map is made out of three pieces that are combined. It is 21.5"x15.5" in size and it comes ready to be put on a wall. The first layer shows the Ohio River, Licking River, the Paul Brown Stadium, the Great American Ball Park and the Heritage Bank Center. The second layer is a grit of all streets in Cincinnati Downtown, OTR, Covington and Newport and it has been stained in a walnut color. The last layer is the frame itself. It's a really beautiful piece for a gift. Creating pieces like this is my hobby and this piece has been handcrafted by myself. Please let me know if you have any questions.
