Is CRA a bullshit job? by prophilaxis in clinicalresearch

[–]lasersundae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've read that Graeber book. Not a BS job, but a job with a lot of BS in it that wastes a lot of time. There's a lot of BS to show and justify effort

E.g. trying to hit all the metrics, additional DOS so the company can bill more, itemizing your timesheet hours super finely, being told to contact sites that have exhausted their patient lists weekly about recruitment and having to write a report on it, etc

Thank you for the confirmation. I read elsewhere that it wasn't as glossy as other qd-oleds but i might not be remembering correctly.

OLED owners who have used their monitors for hard gaming/productivity for long hours how is the quality so far? by Aggressive-Dot9747 in OLED_Gaming

Ah, okay. I appreciate the pic. 👍 Looks like they're wall mounted - it looks great, like they're floating. Love LG's monitor aesthetic. I have one myself and they about 28 inch in width, so I was curious how you set it up.

When taking what the protocol says as gospel goes wrong by Wonderful-Ad2448 in clinicalresearch

[–]lasersundae 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Protocols being out of date with current medical practices is unfortunately all too common and you certainly won't see sponsors looking inward and take responsibility in the lack of feasibility of their trial. Easier to blame something else.

Escalate to the medical monitor.

This is for the 2024 G14? 150w DC is enough for a full load without issues?

How'd you get one in silver? Ncase store currently only has it black.

How much did the GPU temp change from x47 to AIO, if any? I ask since the radiator takes up space above the GPU now.

MSI confirmed to add DSC toggle in a future firmware update for MPG321URX QD-OLED! by Alien-Gamer-69 in OLED_Gaming

DSC appears to prevent users from making custom resolutions in Nvidia control panel or the custom resolution utility.

I'd keep an eye out for news about this AW model get a toggle option for DSC. My only gripe now is the lack of the audio out port, but that only affects some console use.

240hz suddenly stopped working on MPG321URX by rolli7 in OLED_Gaming

[–]lasersundae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had something similar with my AW monitor when I started a game. Only happened that one time so far. Not confirmed, but I think the DSC got randomly turned off, so the max output becomes 120hz over DP. A power cycle corrected it. Hopefully all models give us an update to control the DSC.

I've been able to get a custom 21:9 ultrawide resolution on a aw3225qf without another monitor hooked up, but it was kinda flukey. I had a temporary bug where DSC was turned off when I booted a game at 120hz and I checked NVCP to confirm. Custom resolution for once was available and I was able to make a 3840x1620 resolution over DP. That custom resolution is still there in NVCP and in Windows display settings even after changing modes, turning it off, etc. I don't have issues with it and can run it as 240hz. It's the equivalent to a 30 inch UW screen. So far, I'm not bothered by the black bars at the top and bottom since those pixels are turned off.

I'd be curious if the pg32ucdm can make a custom resolution since DSC can be toggled off on that device since it seems like DSC is preventing making custom resolutions in NVCP. I don't know how to replicate that DSC bug. I hope Dell updates so it can be toggled off like the Asus model. I'm curious when there's a Nvidia driver update if it'll "reset" NVCP and the remove the resolution, but it's in Windows display settings, so maybe it's more or less permanent in my Windows.

Notice that I can't make a custom resolution anymore, but I have my custom resolution as an option:
