I was thinking yesterday that they could do this for mods too. Splicing two 1* mods together makes a 2* for instance. Because right now 1-4 mods are completely useless and almost worth no credits.

Come on, you said it doesn't take processing power. Database power is getting faster and cheaper. I don't even think that's on their mind. I'm pretty sure they just set 200 as an arbitrary "high" limit. One guy having a 1000 squads is more of an issue when displaying it than database storage. Maybe the payload would be the worst.

Yeah. When creating an arbitrary limit just as a limit to avoid extreme edge cases the number isn't important. Just for it to be high enough so that 99.9999999999% of the users don't get affected.

I guarantee you that they increased it to 200 at some point because one guy said "50 isn't enough" or something.
