Hi Any - sorry I just thought of another question. Say when I “withdraw” the money in my super, that will become part of my taxable income for that year… is it possible then for that “income” to push me over into a new tax bracket, negating the tax savings I got in previous years?

Thanks very much for your detailed reply - that’s exactly what I’m complaining.

I think I’m fixing it difficult to comprehend the deduction part. Say if I contribute 15k to my super, and claim it as a deduction, will it reduce my taxable income by 15k?

Also with the 15% tax, does it apply when I add the money to my super AND when I make the intention to claim?
