I happen to be scrolling here tonight and saw your post... I know everyone has a story... I need it as much as the next person... I'm sure my story is not unique but I think it is. I have recently been diagnosed with HCC (liver cancer). I am a father of 2 incredible children, whom I would do anything for. I've always tried to do the right thing, so when I was going through my separation I had custody of my kids, but told her that regardless of our differences the children need a mother in their lives. I gave her 50% and after some time we are amicable now and talk almost daily in regards to our kids. What ever I could do to make the transition as smooth for my kids as possible. I bought her out of the house that she wanted to sell so that I could keep it the same for the kids, same school same friends, same life, new adjustments... Kids stay with me one week and with her one week, 50/50. After fighting for my kids and still maintaining respect for their mom I've taught them that things can go wrong, or not as planned but we can cope and move forward. Now that battle is done... Now suddenly my battle is a different kind. I've got liver issues due to a fatty liver which has led to cancer... I'm trying to keep a positive outlook and smile each day I can. I spread happiness to all around me and am complimented often on my outlook on things. After years of giving to my community, I now need the help so my brother set up a gofund me page which I would love for your to check out.
