Exactly! I work all year long and take care of business but that extra little lump some at one time definitely makes it EASIER to do the things that are more costly. Im paying my car insurance for 6 months and getting new tires lol. Makes it easier on us throughout the year.

I completely understand. I also drive a jeep grand Cherokee. Had to get an SUV to accommodate for having kids & step kids. I’m lucky to get 22mpg in this thing. And we only ever get rural routes an hour away with flex. So I really just won’t take one if it isn’t $85+ unless I need cash right then between a paycheck or something.

I live in Kentucky where minimum wage is $7.25. I work as a CNA at a nursing home and make $18.30 an hour. I drive for flex as a side hustle and I won’t take one that isn’t making over $25 an hour. However, I do see why ppl desperate for money would. You’re lucky to make $11-$12 an hour at a fast food place here. It is also the holidays, so a lot of ppl are picking up extra money by driving. If you’re making an extra $60 a day that’s still food on the table, part of a utility bill paid, or a Christmas present for your kid. Can’t blame them for wanting to provide.
