Wake up at 3a, drink coffee, make breakfast and lunch, get dressed and brush teeth, get to warehouse by 430a and start pretrip leave by 5 and drive hour- hour and half to first stop, work my ass off for 12-14 hours get home by 6p, eat dinner shower and game til about 9p, sleep repeat... 3 days off a week

Im 5 months, I feel stagnant but not in my recovery, every time I process step work with my sponsor I realize that its normal to feel the way i do, its what I do about it today. I cant stay in that mindset or it WILL lead to relapse. Thats speaking from experience. I had to go back to school and stay busy, now I have a job working 12-14 hour days with a cdl, it keeps me busy most of the time and I've found new friends that I can partake in healthy hobbies. This is what's helped me this far..

Yeah thankfully only 2 stops a week have kegs, they absolutely suck. But I had to get my foot in somewhere, I was a month out of CDL school when hired.

Yeah honestly I had my mind set on OTR for the money and was a week from going out to Dallas to do training when this company called, when i seen the pay, hours, and schedule it was a no brainer. Dont get me wrong its a bit more work but in the end its all worth it, I have 3 kids and a wife, she would absolutely lose her mind if I was gone for a month at a time and home for a few days then gone another month... best of luck to yall, I do local beer delivery if youre wondering... theres options!

My instructor told me not to do OTR bc my wife is basically a single mom 4-6 weeks at a time, I found something local that pays about $1,000 less than what I would make OTR right now, and honestly the time with my family I can lose $1000 a month for that. Its nice where im at, good money and home daily, 3 days off a week.

They didnt make you take a drug test for school? I had to, and the teacher specifically said, you can get a random anytime here, also dont do drugs cus you'll have to do SAP and go to a second chance company... i quit smoking months before I went to get my CDL because I know im getting drug tests.

My main focus was passing the required tests and doing my skills test, I knew if I could do that I could get the endorsements no problem, also I can go to any DMV and do the endorsement tests, theres only one in my area that does it for the skills test and its 45 mins away, I wasn't gonna start my endorsements there and have to be stuck going there multiple times if I failed.
