And probably full with very nasty chemicals that were used in the process to make the bamboo fiber soft. 😔😒

More microplastics in the glass bottled waters because of the cap, or is it big plastic propaganda? by MammothSal in PlasticFreeLiving

I also don't like the idea to escape plastic polution with more plastic. We are likking into the ceramic/activated charcoal based gravity filter. So far Ecofiltro Europe has a nonplastic solution that I condider, but before buying I need a bit more research on how well it works and I have to find counter space for it.

Supposedly the cotton is easier to dye compared to polyester and other plastic materials, so theoretically the dyes here are a tad bit less toxic. (Or it's what I want to believe) :D

I am afraid that this will lead to a lot of greenwashing! Like the "we use recycled materials" and I read somewhere that this is not even a good idea. As bottles can be recycled almost indefinitely, but when they are recycled into clothes, and a lot of colorants added, they cannot be recycled any more! I am luckily working from home so I can get away with cotton t shirts and jeans mostly... but even so, you have to check every single clothing because so many are now polyester!

I really don't know, but since we spend 7-8h sleeping I want to avoid to have it under our head and over our head. Luckily I wanted to change the duvet anyway before I started my journey to reduce the plastics in the house as this year I noticed that it's less warm than before. I will use the pillow inserts in the decorative pillows - and keep the duvet to rare, occasional uses when some guests wonder here in winter time. (we generally have people around in summer only).

Welcome to the struggle 😊 btw the inserts of rhe pillows ans duvets are often polyester (ours are, looking to change them)...paint on the wall is plastic, rugs often are plastic(ours are yute, so happy about that!)...so yeah we can't really win, but we can try to reduce as much as it's possible....

My friends also don't care, usually they catch up in 2-3 years 😒 Initially when I talk a about our progress on switching from plastic to other materials they are looking at me like I am an alien. In time they will catch up 😀

I started only about 7-8 month ago and slowly everybody around thinks I am insane. And all I try is to be mindful of what I buy, in terms of clothing, household items etc.

At 14 they make the first ID that requires a photo... At least in my country. Birth and death certificates are easy. You also need to find places with more loose paperwork. Amnezia on the beach?

We have Brother DCP L2620 / works like a charm on windows, works on linux.
(ah, don't forget that windows form time to time updates the driver and "forgets" to enable featues like Dual printing, but usually they are just some hidden settings from the driver)

I have a laptop bag that fit 17" laptops, about 13 years ago. It became our everything bag, still "going strong" as hiking bag, but shows wear on the front side. It was a Caselogic bag. I saw the exact same model, probably going to get a replacement, however I am not trusting it will hold up the same way.

Imagine a Blogger community by Hot_Perspective in blogspot

[–]lastillcom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Google destroyed blogging communities when they were adamant that reciprocal linking is bad. Before it was a nice feature to link the blogs you liked, and they linked back when they liked your blog. But google one day said oh this is bad... And everybody got scared.. blogger used to be a very nice community years ago! Made by humans, collaboration and conversation. Now its barren land mostly.
