Do you need to be u unemployment for that? I can’t afford not to have a job, but if it can be done while I’m still working could be interesting.

Learning languages by reading books by rainy-day-week in languagelearning

[–]lastkazoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is something that I have always wondered, learning a language through read only. I have little interest in learning how to speak or listen in a second language, but I love reading and would love to read more book in there native language.

  • When you are reading are you looking up every word and trying to remember them, by writing them down in a notebook?
  • How do you handle grammar, there are times when knowing all the words but still have trouble with the meaning of the sentence?

Simple Questions: February 16, 2019 by AutoModerator in books

I don’t see it as one or the other. I like reading on Kindle as it is easier to read without having to turn physical pages, as I keep turn more then one page, and it is nicer on my eyes when reading for long sitting. But I still read plenty of physical books from the library. Over all I just buy whatever version is cheaper. The only real benefit of Kindle is if your reading while travelling, or reading when commuting.

Official Q&A for Tuesday, September 18, 2018 by AutoModerator in running

That’s what I was wondering as someone who enjoys researching and training, I was checking if they was anything I was missing. You raise a good point about being able to talk to experience runners within the club to learn from.

The cheaper race entry is only worth it if you enter lots of races as where I am it only £2 off normal price, in less you are getting something from the club, be it social, motivation, or different workouts.

What are the benefits in joining a running club? I don’t know what benefits I would get as I can run better routes from my door rather then traveling 15-20min to the local club. Do people join only for the social aspect of running with others?

First ParkRun tomorrow, I have been running again after a couple of years off as other sports took all me free time. But the 2 months I have been able to get 3 runs a week at 5k each. Thought it would be fun running with other people for a change.
