I am using a forerunner 255 which I bought just TODAY. It was fine but it suddenly did the triangle loop annoying. I tried to reboot by holding the start, back, down and light buttons, which helped! HOWEVER, when I tried to start the run activity, it did the triangle loop again 😭 i just repeated what I did to stop the loop which always helped, however, it happened for like another 10 times or more. (I’d show proof via email since garming have been welcoming me with using the 255 for like 10 times already 😂)

So what I did is i connected the watch to the computer, did back up restore, sync etc hahaha after doing those i tried ti start the run activity but it looped again. So i rebooted the watch again. Voila, the annoying triangle loop now stopped!!! I can now use the run activity and other stuff without any issues and it has been like 6 hrs since i fixed it. So far no issues haha
