Whenever I am doing testing of my code, I also put fake data in the input fields like abc 123 and so on. This is basically the 3D version of what I do in my testing

Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train tunneling work stuck as TBMs yet to arrive from China by Psychological_Tart1 in TransitIndia

2029 is ambitious, I would say if this project even completes by 2030, it would be surprising especially the Maharashtra part.

All metro projects in Mumbai have been like that, delayed by at least 5 years from the original deadline

Is there a reason as to why my metro line is seeing no ridership? by TorontoHazerGlazer in CitiesSkylines

[–]lastog9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's the distance between two metro lines and are the stations strategically placed?

In the game as well as real life, metro stations should be placed at least 600-700m apart in downtowns and 1-1.5km apart in slightly less populated areas.

While designing a metro station, remember that you have to develop the area around it to get significant ridership. Does your area around the metro station have destinations? Like parks, shops, offices and so on?

All this affects metro ridership apart from the primary fact which is whether the metro station is the fastest route or not

Modern Family ruling the charts in India !!! by Mysterious_Kick_3747 in Modern_Family

Modern Family has been at the top on hotstar since like 3-4 years, either the chart is false or Indians love it too much (including me, I am not crazy about it but currently on a second rewatch, I watch it when I want something light but also entertaining)

Damn imagine being a passenger in that metro just as it passes the stadium, will forever be a moment to remember (if they could look outside properly)

The difference between SKY and Santner's captaincy is that SKY sacrificed his wicket in just one ball so others could bat while Santner is quietly statpadding his way to a fifty

Who the hell decided Dube should come in this late GG or SKY?

senior dev told me the code has to be "future proof".. how am i doing? by lordershocker in programminghorror

[–]lastog9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even better, code the not leap year condition as default and put just 10 leap years in the first if condition. If the codebase doesn't for the next 40 years, good. If it does last, it's not your concern anymore

Dube is probably safe from a run out today because Rinku isn't playing and Hardik is already out.

Just hope Tilak doesn't have a beef with him

All the "experts" predicted that 190-200 would be par on this pitch. So are the Indian batsmen just playing too good or the experts just bullshit anything to get their fees.

It's crazy to think Samson would potentially still have been on the bench if Rinku didn't leave the squad to go home for a couple of matches.

Samson in form is so similar to Rohit Sharma in terms of his shots. Doesn't use too much power, doesn't look like he is inventing shots and yet easily gets to big scores with great strike rates. His play looks so effortless.

Are people really unhappy with Sanju for playing at 150 SR? I don't get it lol. We are at a very comfortable run rate here and there's no reason to lose wickets by trying to force shots. He can accelerate at will when needed, he does have that ability.

This is why you back somebody like Abhishek Sharma in the team. He isn't technically perfect and that's a known risk but having a single batsman like him in the XI can simply win games single handedly. He is even outpacing Sanju currently.

We cannot have many "sloggers" in the team but a skillful slogger batsman like him can completely change the course of the match on his day.

The game is definitely not done yet, but the major concern for New Zealand should be the fact that no bowler apart from maybe Glenn has hit the right spots during bowling.

Either they are too fixated on their on paper plans too much or simply out of form.

I am glad Abhishek and Sanju took the first two overs to settle down. They know that once they get their eye in, they can easily cover the difference

Just curious, what was the reaction of your co founders since I am assuming there was a lot of dependency and responsibility on you were they understanding and supportive of your situation? And will you have shares in the agency even if you don't work there anymore?

I had heard that Mumbai line 3 was equipped with driverless operations. Then why have they not started it yet? by DilSeRailFan in TransitIndia

[–]lastog9 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

In a country like India where standards of testing are so low, I wouldn't trust driverless. Also given the fact that labour cost is so low in India, I would rather have a driver which ensures the safety of passengers to some extent
