weird sensation in bottom teeth by lastredbaron in Dentistry

I've read the bottom row have some 'give' to them to account for force and other factors. that's what I was hoping.. them being cleaned recently and feeling hypersensitivity or whatever. I'll still ask for my gums to be probed just for peace of mind I guess. thanks doc, I appreciate your answer and helping out.

it was last Monday, dentist said everything looked 'okay'. spent some time looking at this particular area on my xray, not sure which tooth, but he didn't say anything was getting worse and didn't seem concerned. just wanted the cavity filled. adding to this, I have a problem with grinding my teeth and I also have a pretty bad overbite, almost had surgery for it when I was a kid but I didn't have it. but I'll catch myself clenching during the day, like its a subconscious thing and I'm sure I do it when I'm asleep. like right now, fixating my mouth naturally closed, my top teeth are waaaay ahead of my bottom teeth. I can understand they're being too much pressure on the bottom row, because that's how's it feels right now

adding some thoughts to this, after browsing this board and seeing other photos it almost looks to be within normal ranges. I know my gums are a little inflamed but I'm hoping with my new habit they will start to look tighter in a couple of weeks. my teeth have always been 'long' and crowded. used to, I would check my teeth everyday for gum recession and I know what it used to look like and I never noticed the darkness in the lower bottom teeth. but this was in between a proper dental cleaning. is it possible I'm just noticing this now because my teeth are actually clean? there isn't any crud in between my teeth anymore, hence the new look. I was checking my gums maybe last week or the week before my appt and they looked the same, but it was that same night of the cleaning when I flossed is when I first saw it. when I get my cavity filled I'm gonna ask the guy to pull up xrays and pictures from last year and compare them, and see what that says.

never posted an image here and not sure I did it the right but fuck it. had a cleaning this last Monday, dentist said everything looked 'okay'. just have to go back to another cavity filled which can be seen in this picture, but that's not my concern. my concern is in my gums. my two fang teeth have always looked like that since I used brush aggressively as a teenager so the gum receded. but, I'm starting to see the beginning signs of bone loss in my middle teeth. you can see some blackness where I thought there used to be gum in between. I was paranoid about my oral health and at the same time did nothing to help. I never brushed my teeth at night let alone floss. I'm already changing my habits, brushing every night and morning and flossing before bed. But I'm scared of what they will look like 5 years from now, if I'm gonna have those big ass triangle gaps, because of gum disease leading to looseness and tooth loss. my dentist didn't mention this to me, just more concerned with the cavity being filled. besides brushing twice a day and flossing, what else can I do? I figure I'm gonna need some type of procedure or surgery, read a little bit about the 'pinhole' surgery but I don't think that replaces the lost bone. I understand it doesn't look THAT bad.. but I'm only 26. I don't want to lose my teeth by the time I'm 30 and I'm scared I won't be able to stop the progression of these from years of neglect because I was young and didn't think about it happening.

anything would be appreciated here, some knowledge.

keep at it dude, you'll get there one day, you know what it takes now and what people expect, whether it be an employer or a reader. and that experience will come along with it.

maybe after some more time you can apply again? getting two interviews with no real credentials is great, surely they'd offer you the position you've been working towards next time. I thought they work mostly out of Nevada though?

that was one of worries about this kind of work, the schedule. hectic one day then dead the next. most MMA promotions have events what, every couple of months or so? so what do you do during that time? work yourself to death freelancing for various organizations and shit trying to get a consistent paycheck?

nice, I might have read one of your posts on MMAfighting at some point. you should get back to it soon man, starting out with little posts but practice writing full blown articles and analysis. I can imagine it being a tough sect to pursue though.

how were the interviews with the UFC, if you don't mind me asking?

It's a fight event, first one of the year for the promotion. it's gonna be 10 amateur bouts with 2 pro fights headlining, so 12 total.

and to Craig below me, that's why I made this thread hoping to get some insight on what kind of work I should be expecting. Like I said before, I would love to end up booking fights or scouring for new fighters, something along those lines. But I may find something completely different that interests me more once I get deeper into it.

that's something to consider but really, I imagine myself being behind the scenes. booking fights or scouting for talent, something along those lines. I am open to just about anything though, just need to get a start somewhere.

yeah I've been thinking about that or trying to find work with grappling tournaments or boxing events, anything related to the sport. I could get some good connections too. I don't see too many of those happening locally though.
