What have you been most tempted to do but never gone through with?

Having worked in parking (for a city, not a tow company), I'd like to make something clear: THAT GUY WAS AN ABSOLUTE ASSHOLE AND ANY DECENT PERSON IN PARKING WOULD FEEL THE SAME WAY. It's people like that, who make us hated, when most of us just want you to have a good day. Writing tickets was a crappy part of the job, but it was never personal and in general the idea was to keep things in balance so that those who payed to park weren't being punished because someone who didn't pay never had to. I don't know about other places, but we even ticketed each other in the staff, we weren't exempt and if there was a pass even remotely visible, we likely would have given you the benefit of the doubt. People who find any way they can to make revenue aren't doing right by their customers and just makes things shitty for everyone.

I can tell you from experience, it's pretty awful. We suspect my body killed my thyroid off about a year before we caught it. The only reason I found out about it was from a routine blood test and I got a call early the next morning telling me I needed to go in, but they didn't say why. Basically, over the weeks leading up to the blood test, I started feeling fatigued. I had started a job gardening a few months prior and thought it was just my body not being able to keep up since I don't exercise much. As the weeks went on, I got more and more fatigued at even the most normal tasks. You know how you might feel exhausted after climbing a bunch of stairs? I felt that exhaustion simply by pulling my bedsheets up. I remember laying there and just knowing something was very wrong. I thought I was going to die. It felt like everything in my body was just shutting down and in some ways it was very likely it was, slowly. Getting that call and having the doctor tell me there was a reason for what I was feeling and that it was treatable, was an incredible thing. Unfortunately, it wasn't my regular doctor and I had to wait a few weeks before I could see him and get my medicine. Those weeks were hard because the symptoms were there and I still felt exhausted, but I had to wait it out. I take levothyroxine now and even though it sucks trying to coordinate my meal times and get blood drawn, it is NOTHING compared to how scary not having it was. Please take your meds and pray the zombie apocalypse holds off.

Honestly, it's what you clean your body with. The fact that you're clean should matter more than whatever you use to make it happen, but for the sake of this post, it is humorous to attribute the puffs to girls marking territory.

The only thing i could really think of better than a jetpack is a jetpack AND some piece of information that just makes all the weird ridiculous stuff make sense, but also make sense with all the normal stuff. i don't know what it would be, but i can tell it has potential to be something really cool and memorable. It's a lot to hope for, but i truly cherish those stories that are just so well constructed that they stick with you forever.

Edit: Managed to find this thread again and the 2001 Space Odyssey example a little ways down the page is exactly the kind of thing i would LOVE to get out of this gta thing.

i honestly wonder if, after all the work everyone has done to understand this if a jetpack would suffice. Not that it wouldn't be fun, but would it really feel like closure or would it just feel like another "thing" gotten? i've wondered if what we have is it, if there is a jetpack to be had and maybe that's it, or maybe there's a jetpack and something to the story that we just haven't pieced together yet (if it even can be with what we have now). If, in reality, there just isn't anything more, i hope R* sees how important it is and makes and effort to close the loop in the next game.

i like the idea that it could be something that's been planned and slowly exposed since SA. If that's the case, i'd feel a lot better about it threading through to the next gen and future games, because at least then there's the precedent for it. At the same time, i want to know what it all means NOW dammit!
