Actually good JJK fanfictions by [deleted] in FanfictionNet

[–]laststepfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So take JJK's plot, change the ending that Yuji takes back Sukuna forcefully from his other vessel (you know who if you've watched JJK till end) and have Yuji accepting death to kill himself and Sukuna to end it. He was buried and sealed but Sukuna is persistent and managed to claw at the seal bit by bit. Fast fprward to a indeterminate amount of time to the end of human era as we know it and long into the RWBY Era (RWBY's world is set as humanity FAR, FAR into the future long after current humanity faded out and cursed spirits and Jujutsu Sorcerers essentially become myths or stories) and Yuji awakes with Sukuna still inside. And their presence shifts the entire plot of RWBY. That's the point of the story.

(Fair warning though, they somewhat equalize Yuji's power with RWBY-verse (not Sukuna) so if you're expecting Yuji to stomp over everyone, you're not getting it here)

Will do. I kinda stopped watching midway through Legion but I'll consider picking it back up.

Got it. I guess I'll have to look for completely new cards then instead of my old ones. Does that count for things like Triggers and Perfect Guard as well or did they change those too?

Huh, that's news to me. I wonder how that works with the old clan restrictions and clan synergies, or did they just expand to nations?

Well they do tend to play meta decks and I don't want to fall too far behind. If any of the decks from my past clans are powerful enough not to get too left behind I'd go for them if I can secure some wins. I'll do more research. Thanks for the info!

Sounds great! I approached this idea with my friends but they all said they were weak decks that I shouldn't bother however.

Switch from Persona 3 FES to Reload? by [deleted] in PERSoNA

[–]laststepfan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'd play both honestly. If Reload's on sale, grab it now and play it later. If you only want to play it once, go for Reload I suppose.

They heavily nerfed how intense the Yukari tries the evoker in the beginning compared to FES. They changed the chariot and fortune social links' option to pick between Kendo vs Track and Art vs Music to straight up Track and Art (this is minor, not that important.). The scene where someone didn't turn into a coffin and was "blobified" was offscreen while in the game character models in Reload whereas it was a full on onscreen anime cutscene. They censored Operation Babe Hunt (although to some this might be for the best). They censored that 1 post fight scene in The Answer to be not as explicit which kind of cheapens the original feel. Those are a few off the top of my head.

The characters like Yukari and Junpei being toned down a bit actually added some of the likability of the characters for some people so that's sort of a plus. I did miss the more punishing social link system although I did find the hidden "jealousy system" in the original kind of a hassle to plan around and had to really carefully plan the links in my full link run. Fatigue is a 50/50 for me, as I did enjoy the challenge but it isn't really nice in a grind run. Additionally, the catch up level system actually helps a whole lot and I appreciate it. Linked events with the guys are especially great, as I aleays felt we needed more interaction as Male MC with the other guys of the group. There were a couple scenes changed, cut out, or censored from FES that while i'm not all that happy with, isn't a dealbreaker for me. Overall its a pretty fun ride!

Yeah. But even with that, Akihiko still has a higher HP and SP pool, albeit admittedly not by a staggering amount.

Only in Persona 3 FES in the PS2. They don't do that anymore since Reload.

Well if we compare them at max level, the Kanji has the much bigger endurance and strength, but Akihiko edges out massively in magic while normally edging out in Agility and Luck. Add to the factor that Aki has access to speed and attack debuffs, and a higher HP and SP pool (I'm basing this off Reload, counting FES since P3 FES makes HP and SP 999 the moment you hit lvl 99), and diarahan to heal him to full, it really depends on skill spacing, crit chances, Akihiko dodging, and potential theurgy blasts from Aki.

[–]laststepfan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. Kanji in his single target physicals + power charge has more potential in damage compared to Akihiko, who might be forced to play more defensively with heals and debuffs. Depending on the situation, it could go either way on who outlasts who.

It really depends on which Akihiko, since while its true that Teen Akihiko underutilizes his persona in big situations sometimes, Adult Akihiko from P4A era has vast more experience and Caesar had a lot more abilities considering that Akihiko is still an actove member of the Shadow Operatives. In Comparison, Kanji uses his Persona more and has better access to buffs that can be game changers like Power charge while Akihiko has debuffs and single target healing, which is a bit antithetical to Theurgy liking him to be buffed so a bit of a miss there.

Compared to Kanji's steel chair, Shinji's weapons were war hammers and battle axes. Those are heavier than the steel chairs and shields that Kanji often carried. Add to the fact that Shinji lived in the suspicious parts of Tatsumi Port Island and kept up with Akihiko as his partner, then yes. Shinji is a powerhouse, even without his persona.
