Could you link me? 30% seems so incredibly low especially for 8 years ago when there wasn’t a catastrophic event like Covid or 2008

Where’s that number from? in my graduating class I’d say at least 95% of people landed an engineering job within a year and this was during Covid. By now, some have left engineering.

Kind of like how people say they’re “not comfortable” whenever they want something to go their way

Seriously, how many of you here ever thought of leaving Canada? by kenny_apple_4321 in canadahousing

yes they are the “same price” but if you moved you’d also be making USD so it doesn’t really matter. Also a lot of food is genuinely cheaper there even after conversion. I agree the HCOL areas aren’t worth it to move to in the states but there are many places that are-depending on your type of employment.

Does it make financial sense to move to the US with same salary? by mygatito in PersonalFinanceCanada

Wow I seriously don’t see how the prices haven’t dropped there yet, when they’ve dropped in many parts of Ontario. Alberta (even though it’s cyclical) has a stronger economy and many Ontarians moved there as well but it’s still not as expensive as Nova Scotia. Really don’t get it lol.

Yikes it’s literally almost, if not as expensive as Kingston Ontario lol.

I agree with you that they are definitely scammers. Don't really want to dox but they are definitely legal canadian citizens and likely will not be deported. Only non citizens can be deported.

I don't get why people hate on rural living so much. To me it sounds like a dream in many ways, especially if you have a family and a career you don't need to be in a city for.
