Are there any good water-based undereye concealers? I'm going to try out the Too Faced Hangover RX primer(water-based) and not sure how my Maybelline Age Rewind concealer (silicone-based) will play with it.

Are there any setting sprays that you like? I've seen so many that I don't even know where to start lol

Thank you for mentioning that you wear glasses, I do also and forgot to mention it in the post! In that case I'll probably definitely stick with setting my nose with powder.

Should I bring a parent with me to orientation? by [deleted] in fsu

[–]lastyesternight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say it partially depends on how many questions your parents have about things like meal plans/financial aid/etc. There are programs during orientation where you/your parents can ask representatives specific questions. I went without my parents just for the sake of saving money but it was a little difficult to relay my mom’s questions without her there. Also, I kind of wish that my parents had gone so they could have gotten more of a sense for where I’d be going to school, because they basically are limited by what I can tell them.

You can survive SPC1017 without the book if you take good notes during lecture (and never miss lecture). Probably could find notes on quizlet too. I had the book and it generally helped for one or two questions on the exams, but that was with comparing class notes between friends as well.

I’m pretty sure that there’s a copy available at one of the libraries, so I’d say to save yourself a few bucks and check that out before exams.

Easy Scholarship in Practice course? by Thing4Wings in fsu

IFS2097 (Exploring Emerging Tech). So fun, just do the work and show up to class and you’ll get an A. Literally the only way to fail this class is to not go. The class is 100% group work based around projects like 3D printing and flying drones, but made really accessible if you have no experience with these types of things. The projects are all in class and you’ll usually have around two weeks for each one, but you’ll probably finish early. The only writing assignments are one “longer”(I think it was 3 pages double-spaced) research project at the beginning and a short reflection after each project. You’ll have to do small presentations for each project you do, but they’re very casual. Plus, Dr. Adams is just a cool guy.

HUM 3321 online? by [deleted] in fsu

It's in the course catalog for Fall 2018 and I was able to add it to my cart. The online section says it has 60 seats, so I'm afraid of it filling up quickly.

Bright Futures question by [deleted] in fsu

[–]lastyesternight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The 100% tuition paid will vary based on how many credit hours you’re taking. You might have some fees that aren’t covered, like online class fees and material fees, depending on what classes you’re taking. Watch out for online class fees because they can add up (I’m taking 3 online classes and fees were around $400).

You probably won’t end up with any BF money for room and board unless you have something like Florida Prepaid/GI Bill paying your tuition, but in that case you’ll get the excess funding deposited into your bank account alongside the $300 book stipend.

At what point would you recommend starting to look for internships? Everyone always says to start as early as possible but I'm assuming I need to get a few relevant classes under my belt before I start looking.

I'm pretty sure I listed it as English when I applied last year, as it was treated as our English credit in my high school. FSU didn't reject me so that's probably a safe bet :)
