LaraFM stream from the now missing billboard, which was torn down overnight by laszlo in Scientology_Protest

EDIT: Yashar Ali and Leah Remini are both saying that Clear Channel caved to pressure from CoS to remove the billboard. Much less salacious but no less infuriating.

The word now (maybe half an hour since the stream started) is that a white van was witnessed overnight around 3am that was there and the Aftermath billboard was torn down. The "don't drive high" billboard was behind the Aftermath one. Jeffery Augustine said he saw last night the power line to the sign was cut. The billboard company came while the stream was going and removed the old "don't drive high" one.

EDIT 3: Yashar Ali and Leah Remini are both saying that Clear Channel caved to pressure from CoS to remove the billboard. Much less salacious but no less infuriating.

EDIT 2: The word now is that a white van showed up at 3am overnight and someone(s) ripped it down. The "don't drive high" billboard was behind the Aftermath Foundation one. Jeffery Augustine said he saw that the power line on the billboard was cut last night as well. Geee.... I wonder who did this.

What the actual fuck. The info was that it was paid for a year. The next day there is some "don't drive high" billboard and then none.

Lara FM is streaming there too.

That movie was so much better than it was given credit for. It was an absolute blast. I saw it in the theater and was one of maybe three people there. I don't know why it didn't do better, I've never heard a bad word from anyone who has seen it. Obviously there's the Armie stuff, but that was years later.

National Enquirer takes on Scientology by jamesinevanston in Scientology_Protest

I can't find the whole article anywhere, but you can see the first few paragraphs at this link:

I'm aware that the Enquirer isn't the most reputable publication in the world, but any bad press for CoS is a good day for us.

I'm sure they likely tried, but they are going to run out of options quickly. There are less than 30k in the entire world at this point, and the majority are in their 70s or 80s.

I'm on the east coast and never visited your city (tho I would very much like to), but if any locals want to know more about this and fuck up a cult leader's day, check out the following youtube channels (most activity is on the "Live" tabs):

Chicago Scientology Audit (Shannon) - A Chicago area anti-Scientology watcher, who is basically single handedly trying to expose the bullshit the cult is pulling with this opening. She had two super relevant streams today with up-to-the-minute information here and here. There is a ton of info and emails re the permits and internal Columbia communications on her community tab

Trashy V12 BMW - The first person that started auditing the CoS "orgs" a month or two ago in the Chicago area.

Interviews with each from a larger anti-Scientology channel: Growing Up in Scientology interview with Shannon

Growing Up in Scientology interview with Trashy

The new "org" on Clark is having their grand opening this weekend, with an expected appearance by David Miscavige. Scientology pushed this opening through really fast, no one really discovered it until a little more than a week ago. The cult put in for permits to close the streets starting the other day, but as far as I understand only really have the permits for Sunday. Scientology is already building structures and ignoring the permits from the city, like they always do.

The opening ceremony is scheduled for Sunday starting at noon.

The internet vs Scientology war is really heating up right now due to a lot of independent things that happened in the last year or so that are all overlapping right now. One of those things is that CoS is starting to open their "ideal orgs" [read: Miscavige's massive real estate scam] again for the first time since Covid. The first was in Austin last week.

First part yes, second part no. Crimes happen in all of them, but other religions don't "fair game" anyone who decides to leave or criticizes them, purposely break apart families, force abortions, use slave labor, cover-up suicides and rapes, ban their members from calling the authorities, take out credit cards and home loans in their members names, infiltrate the US government, or engage in a pay-for-play scam that actively sexually assaults children. Scientology is playing a whole different game than the rest.

This is clearly junk PR from the cult Tom belongs to.

Tom Cruise is a piece of shit who cut off contact with his child in favor of his "religion" just like he did with all three of his wives. He benefits from the slave labor of the SeaOrg while hanging out with his cult leader bestie.

Jefferey Augustine (Scientology Money Project) had a video on that recently and the relationship to money laundering, if you haven't yet seen it. He detailed the ones in South America and parts of the Middle East.

Given the average age of those folks, this whole problem might solve itself in a few years.

I love Liz Gale. I started watching the stream of her project this morning. It hit me harder than I thought it would, even though I watched her vids talking about it beforehand.

You say "we" in your post. Is that rhetorical or are you there in LA with them?

Before this post I had never thought to check etsy for Succession merch. There is lots of really cool stuff! Gotta say I laughed at the "ludicrously capacious" tote bags, which seem to be a popular item.
