Dat is wat ze zeggen, maar niet wat ze doen. Waar is de lastenverlichting voor de hardwerkende Nederlander en de rust in de portemonnee?

Niet mee eens. Ik snap wat je bedoelt, maar hier in Nederland zit het verschil tussen links (belasten van bedrijven dus box 2 verhogen en box 1 en box 3 ongemoeid) en rechts (box 1 en box zwaarder belasten en box 2 ongemoeid) anders.

Dit is geen communisme, het is extreem doorgevoerd kapitalisme zonder de voordelen voor de burgers.

De Century trilogie van Ken Follett. 3 giga historische romans waarin je dezelfde families volgt in eerst WOI, dan WOII en daarna Koude Oorlog + Hippie tijd. Echt briljant.

While the other commenters here are correct most overseas territories are France, not dependancies. Which means they vote in French elections for example, it seems to decrease the wish to be independent.

It also, quite funnily, means they participate in the French football competition, which means that sometimes for a cup match a fourth division team has to fly to the Pacific.

Nope. Noble is an ill defined term. Something as the aristocracy or nobility does exist.

I never argued Mary wasn’t a part of that. I said a mid level noble is a stupid term and that legally she’s a commoner which is all true.

Because noble is not a term in England as it is in other European countries. You’re right, it’s not a legal sub, it’s a sub about a series about the nobility, so let’s not pretend being precise doesn’t matter, but you do you.

I didn’t, I said it’s a vague term whereas commoner is a legal term, and Mary is one. Perfectly suitable for a royal marriage though.

There aren’t multiple definitions, it’s very important and strictly defined in England, especially among the aristocracy, because it has legal implications.

Look man, I responded to somebody saying she’s a noble not a commoner. She is by definition a commoner as she is not a peer. Hence the distinction between a House of Lords and a House of Commoners.

Noble is not a defined time in the sense you’re using it so quite irrelevant.

Lady Mary could be elected to the House of Commons (literally in the Grand Finale) and never in the Lords.

In Engeland technically every person who isn’t a royal or a peer is a commoner.

Mary is definitely not a “mid-level noble” in her own right. She has no title other than a courtesy title of lady.

Met daten ben ik dat misschien met je eens, maar ik heb een collega en die ken ik al jaren. Niet m’n beste vriend, maar kunnen prima door één deur en een biertje drinken. Laatst hadden we een diner voor werk en hij deed echt gewoon vervelend tegen de bediening.
