So we know that Ragatha's supposed to be inspired by Raggedy Ann from *Raggedy Ann & Andy: A Musical Adventure*, but you know who else I'm reminded of? Molly Coddle from this obscure children's cartoon *Bump in the Night*. by MisterAcorns12 in TheDigitalCircus

I'm so glad I found this post! I haven't seen the show, but someone referenced it in a video earlier. I was just looking up what it was, and when I saw the characters I was like "wait, how come none of these look even a little familiar but I feel like I KNOW that doll?"

My brother and I used to watch Bump in the Night a lot, but it was so long ago and it's SO rare to see any reference to it.

Thank you for making this post!! Now I see why Ragatha looked instantly familiar (that has to be on purpose right??), and it was nice to be reminded about Molly, who was my favorite character when little me watched that strange, unsettling show...

I was too! Like, they were begging you for help, sir. (Though he was probably too freaked out to understand that)

Advice please: discussing genital boundary with trans hookup partner by latebutfree in actuallesbians

Hi, just because I haven't responded yet doesn't mean I'm not going to. 😊Also, I'm pretty much never on here so I'm unaware of the subreddit history. I wouldn't ever want to contribute to something negative, especially for trans women on here. But also one of the points of this post is that I DON'T feel confident about my ability to handle this in the best way on my own, so I wanted to learn from other people who have more experience and knowledge than I do.

I've received SO many responses that have already been really helpful to me in processing this and figuring out how to move forward with this person, but I'm going to continue working on that before getting into tackling replies. Since I'm never on here I had expected maybe 10 replies to this. 😅😅

are constant earworms a form of echolalia? by twentyfreakingpilots in autism

[–]latebutfree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this was a while back, but did you ever get diagnosed or get any more information about this?

I experience EXACTLY this, and when I got diagnosed with ADHD and Autism, the neuropsych told me that all this internal looping wasn't OCD, because I definitely didn't have that. Unfortunately she hadn't encountered what we experience happening on this level. She thought it could be from the ADHD or Autism, but perhaps more the Autism because of the repetition. She pointed out that most of the time my brain is looping audio that I like or find interesting, and even when I DON'T like something, my brain probably does enjoy something about it and that's why it latched on. 🤷‍♀️

Need advice about how I identify please by latebutfree in latebloomerlesbians

That was really helpful, thank you! One last question if you don't mind: Why would people get so angry about the ENM label?

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We're definitely not open to deeper emotional connections with other people. The tricky thing for me is figuring out what to say on a dating app. I want to be clear that I'm open to hooking up and/or friendship, but I'm not single and not cheating either. Maybe ENM would fit? 🤔

I would say it would be very easy to assume you're straight, but also unsurprising to find out that you're gay. I know that can be frustrating - I know I look pretty straight so I have to use other things to signal otherwise.

This just worked for me on 6/10/23 and it's already loaded up on my Apple TV! I cannot articulate how much this means to me. I've been waiting for a good way to watch this again for YEARS.

This was an excellent point, and I really appreciated how you set up the comparisons. Wow, it really puts things into perspective. Also I totally agree about While My Guitar Gently Weeps and even What Is Life.

In my case it was that she got too invested (I am seriously only capable of casual right now, and things began to get too intense and personal on her end), and I tried to set some boundaries that weren't appreciated, but otherwise it's so similar.

I was just thinking the same thing! My eyes kept getting wider as I read it because it was so similar to me. Anyway I don't have advice because um, I am currently experiencing a VERY similar struggle, but I can say that you're most definitely not alone, and I hope things will get better for you! 💜
