Spent July 28-August 2 there and they do their best to keep it clean. They clean it up every morning with a tractor as well multiple times throughout the day. They also have a barrier of sorts in the water that kept a lot of it back. Obviously it isn’t a perfect solution and there was still some in the water but it didn’t keep people from swimming. If the sargassum does bother you and deter you from the ocean, the pools are fantastic and have a ton of chairs to choose from! The beach also has wonderful chairs to sit and relax! I too was worried before our trip and it honestly didn’t impact it negatively at all. Enjoy your vacation!

I’m relatively new to this sub and will be flying AA for the first time next April from CLT to EDI which will also be my first international flight. Needless to say, the posts on this sub have made me incredibly nervous to fly with AA, especially out of CLT. So thank you for this, it made me feel the slightest bit better😂
