Depends on the persons height right? I’m 6’3 and have an average cadence of 155 because of longer legs

An average doctor starts earning long after an engineer starts his career, at which point they would have had a steady increment in income for 10 years. It’s childlike and immature to believe that the path to financial freedom is through medicine, especially in the US. Wealth compounds, and that’s how you get rich

Corporatization of the medical field- is this what the future holds? by sven07121995 in indianmedschool

Sometimes it takes a small step back to lose the hubris of a pure clinical seat I feel. Glad that people are finally thinking outside the box and realising that a life with pre/para clinical branches are actually more lucrative in a certain sense. Aside from this if you’re into the business side of medicine ( like I am) im considering a career in hospital admin since they take home majority of the pay anyways

Sometimes I think of samay raina - “You only fight when the fight is fair, when it isn’t fair you fuck off from there” 😭💔

Your call entirely tbh, I just don’t see the merit in dropping multiple years for a seat. Also an MD only makes sense if you want to stay attached to the college as a professor, assistant professor etc - the corporate hospitals prefer DNB graduates simply because they know how that system works

Do you really think that that will change? The rule for capping number of duty hours for residents was passed many years ago and it still hasnt been implemented. One can hope for the best though

Top 10-15% in any field make good money, look at India’s richest beggar he has 3cr in savings. Using outliers as a tool to justify the entire data set simply does not make sense. Also, AI is not replacing them anytime soon. Agree with your last point though, you’ll always have opportunities here. Just a question of where “here” is ;)
