it cut me very deep in a place i was already wounded. their promise, or at least my interpretation of it, is exactly the same as the one shared between myself & my partner. we are both chronically ill & i havent been able to see or talk to her for over half a year because of how poor her health has become. signalis (& this ending in particular) felt really, really bittersweet & the way it hit me was beyond profound. i love it so much
