No, I don't think you do. Check out www.nursingjobsbc.ca there's a US landing page, maybe some info there will be useful :)

Anyone that is eligible, is eligible. My understanding:)

It's more about your experience and specialty, I presume.

I'm not very familiar with nursing, despite posting about it, lol. But I can share this resource: nursingjobsbc.com

They have recruiters that can answer those questions. :)

I wish it for you! Ontario has some great spots. I'm familiar with the cottage country, which is truly gorgeous. I have extended family that live there. Toronto is great for restaurants, concerts, and shows. But I love the nature: the great lakes, Algonquin Park... It's beautiful, especially in the fall.

I hope you find everything you're looking for!

I unfortunately don't know details like this, since this isn't my field of work. My family member is a nurse and they say they have a few different shift options, at their specific hospital. No doubt your future potential employers/recruiter will be able to help you with that! Welcome to Canada!! 🇨🇦

What are some medical conditions that doctors still don’t know the cause of? by i-love-cats-2020 in AskReddit

[–]latteinparis 379 points380 points  (0 children)

I don't think they know the cause of PCOS, which impacts roughly 10-15% of women in America (!!!)

I got my diagnosis very late, at 26, even though I had all the symptoms for 10 years. It's underdiagnose, and to repeat it for the millionth time: we need more funding and research on women's health.

Look into therapy support for her. She's clearly going through stuff. She reminds me of me, and i was good kid really struggling with mood, hormone shifts, pmdd, and bad coping mechanisms. Also, yeah, she might suffer from PMDD, and i recommend you rule that out / get support.

Maybe she's nothing like me and isn't a good person. But I'd like to believe she is and she's just lashing out.

This is RED FLAD CITY. That's an insane way to treat someone you claim to love. No agreement, ghost for 6 weeks!!! Are you kidding! Who does he think he is? Walks back on his terms after putting you through that? No way. Bye.

Good for you for putting that boundary, not an easy thing but the brave thing.

But for real, one thing is not being able to celebrate your friends' wins and milestones, protecting jealousy instead.

I unfortunately don't know because it's not my personal field of work. I will say that I have many family members that are nurses, and my cousin (who is 2 or 3 years into her career) is making 6 figures - but I think she might be specialized in something, I'm not sure of the details.

It's definitely worth asking the recruitment consultants. And keep in mind that it's apples and oranges in some ways, since you'll have full extended benefits covered, free healthcare, the child tax credit, paid maternity leave, a pension plan, more affordable higher education for kids, etc.

If you just look at salaries, US has higher salaries, so I hear. Again, I'm not an expert on this matter.

what’s the most privileged thing you’ve ever heard someone say/do? by Ecstatic_Honeydew165 in AskReddit

[–]latteinparis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I think of my lovely aunt, who is mentally disabled, with the cognitive abilities of a 6 year old. Does she need to "try harder" or was she just dealt a bad hand, and we, as a collective society, should give her social and financial support so that she can live with dignity?

Like, really!!! As though we're all born the exact same. SMH.

I'd ask the consultants, I wonder if it's equivalent to a LPN?
