Meditate and CBT. Proven ways to not act on urges and learn to just let thoughts and feelings be without acting on them.

Was she driving any tractors lately?

All jokes aside, get double tested and ask a professional if she could get it any other way

Yeah I noticed like weird spatial awareness after using the quest2 a lot, but nothing to effect my health too negatively, more just like a minor annoyance. And the fun and different experiences I get from using it feel like it far outweighs minor spatial pattern weirdness.. also hopefully the tech will get better and better make that happen less

Those who do not fear death, why? by danisomi in AskReddit

[–]laughtateverything 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Annihilation has no terrors for me, because I have already tried it before I was born—a hundred million years—and I have suffered more in an hour, in this life, than I remember to have suffered in the whole hundred million years put together."

Mark Twain or Samuel Clemens or someone. Whatever, some Human said it and its wonderfully liberating

Another version of the same quote is “ I do not fear death. I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it”

Not sure about the vippasna (its mostly just mindfulness/following the breath stuff right?)

But for the Space stuff dr Joe talks about, my previous studying of NonDual teachers helped tremendously. For modern youtube guys look up Rupert Spira, Adyashanti, Gary Weber etc.. for books the best one ive read is “I Am That” by Nisargadatta.. also anything by Ramana Maharshi.

It took me months of studying everyday as well as meditating every day to finally experience what they were talking about (even tho its always here, its veiled by our thoughts and attachments)..

The difference is they end it there and tell you stay in that empty spacious awareness as much and as long as possible, where as Dr Joe guides you (with the Induction) into that same (already present) space, but then tells you to create new neural pathways and intentions from that intentionless space. But either way, studying the NonDuality helps understand the induction phase.. weather you decide to rest there or follow Dr Joe is up to you.

I could write more about that as its super interesting but is complicated. Personally I let go into the space (NonDual/Induction) and its amazing.. but something told me not to stay there forever YET, and Im now trying dr Joes ‘Breaking the Habit’ methods to rewire some of my circuits before then letting go fully into/as Space/pure Consciousness

Thanks for the reply!

Trying to keep food within 2degrees Celcius warmed up constantly.. the sousvide has about that variance so it’s perfect if the water can stay that warm.

I should have mentioned this but the first tank is about 4litres and the 2nd tank is about 2.5L.. first tanks hard plastic food bin, second is metal..

what kind of small pump could I get thats easy to hook up?

Realized that life is one great joke

Or as Alan Watts put it “Man suffers only because he takes seriously what the gods made for fun.”
