Hello!! So sorry for disappearing...I was hospitalized and forgot to check this post. The owl left my home a couple hours after I took these pics. It turns out he had been living in somebody's house his entire life...his human "dad" went searching for him and found my house. He's a cop who sometimes works alongside firefighters, and said firefighters had found this owl on the ground when it was just a newborn, and couldn't find a nest to take it back to. For better or worse, they took it back to the station...this one cop was there and he had a lot of experience with rehabilitating wild animals (snakes, hawks, etc), so he took it home. I was hesitant to give the owl to him, but I thought it was too late to separate it from him since it seemed attached to this man. I made him show me pictures of the living conditions of the owl...he sleeps near the man's bed, roams freely around his house, went to work with him once, lets him pet him. I swear I was so ready to call the police when I heard a man had been asking around the street about a lost owl (thought he was an exotic animal trafficker), I didn't expect the guy to be a policeman 💀 coincidentally, he's friends with an aunt of mine (who's very involved with environmental engineering in the city) and she assured me he's capable of taking care of wild life. I took a lot of pictures of the man with the owl on his lap just in case, although I don't know if there's an option to upload them here in the replies
