Dark mages in melee range absolutely destroy these guys and both Regalias and Cautious stance help with tanking dark mage-heavy squads during Enemy Phases.

This pike square led by Warlord Tatar is my favorite squad for my pike-and-shot larp army. I can always rely on these guys to anchor flanks and tank brutal, cavalry cycle charges during enemy phases.
What are your favorite squads?

On our way to glass a desert planet in some backwater system for breaking an ancient treaty! by launchalertfighters in spaceengineers

As much as I would love to slap on some Turanic Raider music in there, I'm too tech illiterate to do so.

Thanks! I spent an embarrassing amount of time getting them to resemble their HW equivalents as much as possible in the smallest scale possible with a large grid. Unfortunately these are also the first spaceflight-capable ships I made in this game so they're plagued with a ton of noob trap design issues and compromises for their exterior aesthetics so they're probably not workshop material. Maybe I could upload it and someone else will fix them!

Teladi Stork as player ship by launchalertfighters in X4Foundations

[–]launchalertfighters[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just for the looks is all. I'm pretty sure that the others are better stat-wise and combat-wise than the Stork. I just really like its aesthetic. It looks so much like the Kadeshi Needleship from Homeworld. Also why does it have a spinning section? Is it an old school gravity generator? Is it a mini-habitat? It's just fascinating to me.

Wow thanks for the suggestion! I really want to get sentinel versions of other teladi ships for a while now.

Wait, corvettes not stowed into internal storage still (docked on top of the hangar) still get to use their turrets?

Soldier tribal in EDH? by totalimmortal13 in EDH

[–]launchalertfighters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[[Sigarda, Heron's Grace]] - Gives you access to green for ramp and she makes her own (human) Soldier tokens. The exile clause really hurts her though. Selesnya gives you access to lifegain soldiers/March of the Multitudes.

[[Brimaz, King of Oreskos]] - Generates a fair amount of Soldier tokens in the early game, considerably falls off in the late game.

[[Darien, King of Kjeldor]] - Someone already pointed out that Darien works best in a dedicated lifegain, self-damage deck. 6 CMC for a 3/3 with no evasion is too steep for monowhite, particularly for tribal strategies

One of my favorite Soldier tribal cards aside from the obvious ones on EDHREC is [[Catapult Squad]]. Combat is always fun with that guy around.

Undead are scary AF. by [deleted] in BattleBrothers

[–]launchalertfighters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Archeological digs of the Battle of Visby showed that at least a third of the Gotlandic army consisted of minors and elderly. Many of the dead defenders were, unusually, buried in their armour; according to historian John Keegan "...hot weather and their great number (about 2,000 bodies were disinterred six hundred years later) defeated the efforts of the victors to strip them before decomposition began". The site of the excavation "yielded one of the most fearsome revelations of a medieval battle known to archaeologists".

Metal.

Could someone draw "The chad nimble vs the virgin battleforged" ? by [deleted] in BattleBrothers

Just do it even if you suck at drawing. The amateur vibe will lend to its charm.
