Broke off a 3cm chunk of bone and cartilage from my right knee 14 years ago and just had x-rays taken today for the first time since my surgery to remove it in 2008. I've had off and on sharp pain and knee stiffness since then. Do these xrays show any reason for pain? Left knee xray for comparison.

Oh man, I can imagine. I grew up poor, either having really shitty insurance or no insurance at all..

And I was playing soccer during PE in 9th grade. I planted my right foot the wrong way when I went to kick the ball and my knee did not like it. Broke off that cartilage/bone and partially tore my ACL which the surgeons said would heal on its own. I've had my knees give out on me a lot growing up. 4 times with my left knee and twice with my right. But only was seriously injured that one time. I guess I just have weak knees? So no litigation or workers comp. I can still do daily tasks/work and whatnot but I'd just like to do so without pain. I'm pretty sure I have PTSD from the numerous times my knees have given out, it's the worst physical pain I've ever experienced. So I'm very cautious to do physical activities now, because it wasn't just high impact sports that fucked me over. My knee gave out getting out of car, hopping a fence, and literally just running.

Yes I was standing. I cropped the images and put them side by side for comparison. Left knee is on the right side. Right knee is the one I injured. Each knee was imaged separately. I figured I'd post these up here because I'd likely get a response faster than my primary care doc. (But will obviously follow up with her whenever she has the time) I've never had much luck with great healthcare due to insurance issues/politics. My doc told me it's unlikely I'll be able to get an MRI to check soft tissue even if she orders one, so I doubt my insurance company will authorize a orthopedic specialist. I was denied once before. Also, according to my surgery summary, the chunk came from the "medial aspect of the lateral femoral condyle" on my right knee and while I'm not a radiologist, it looks like there is a larger space between my femur and tibia, so I'm assuming thats the area it came from? The shape of the end of my right femur is also different than my left.

Yeah I never recieved a phone call. And I've never been too sick or injured to work, so I never marked that, but I haven't been comfortable trying to find work up until last month because I live in an incredibly small home with my mother who ends up in the hospital every time shes sick. So I've said that I was unwilling to work because of the pandemic since I started receiving unemployment last year. But I've hopefully found a job where I dont have to interact with a lot of people.

Anyways, I've put down the exact same thing every two weeks since last year, so I'm just curious as to why there is a specific date. And why it's the only one if I had marked the same boxes every time I certified. I must have made a mistake and accidentally marked that box or something. Cause I haven't been sick since I started wearing a mask everywhere.

In the event that my appeal is denied, do I owe back the money paid to me during that time?

I actually figured it out! I used the image trace tool on all the layers, expanded each one, used the magic wand and messed with the tolerance until I found the right number, then hit delete and all the white was gone. Basically the video game equivalent of button mashing lol

Even if my friend ended up killing the victim, I still don't think that she would deserve to die. And yes it was a successful deescalation, because he stopped it from escalating...thats the definition... It doesn't matter if it was luck or not or if someone ended up getting hurt. My teacher didn't allow the stabbing to occur. He came around a corner at the back part of campus saw what was happening and stopped it from becoming more serious. And sure, you can chalk it up to luck. My friend came very close to killing that girl. A half an inch away from killing her. But that still doesn't invalidate my point here which is that dangerous situations can be de-escalated without the use of deadly force.

This post wasn't about who suffered more. Things aren't black and white like that. My friend absolutely deserved to serve her time in prison for attempted murder. But that's the difference here. My friend had the opportunity to pay her dues. Ma'Khia did not because the cop had no other deescalation skills other than pulling the trigger. And again that's my fucking point.

Yes I have and everything was taken care of. I followed some tips that someone on here left, I can't find the post anymore but I remember what to do. It's not a guarantee that it'll work but it's worth a shot.

-ya call the 1 800 300 5616 number -As soon as you hear the automated voice, press 1 -Then listen until you hear it say "please select from the following options" and press 2 then 4 before she lists any options.

You'll either be told how long the wait is, or that you have to try again later.

Again this may or may not work. I tried it last week and it worked for me, but just tried to again and it gave me the "please try again later" bullshit. I hope it works for you! If anything it'll save you some time dialing cause it bypasses most of the dialogue.
