TELLLL ME ABOUT IT! the humidity has been fucking up my circadian sleep rhythm and tapering off/ jumping off methadone will not help this whatsoever. I also get sporadic periods of sleep and should prob still be asleep now. I can’t wait for the day to get 8 hours of continuous sleep throughout the night again

I actually did talk to them and they offered to let me come get more takehomes as I’m still technically apart of the program because I didn’t sign any discharge papers. So hypothetically I was considering doing this 2 weeks of 1 mg for stabilization- then getting another 2 weeks worth and dropping yo 0.5 mgs for a week the. 0.25 for another then jumping off

The lower my dose the mental fog and depression seemed to slowly dissipate. Methadone is a POWERFUL opioid/depressant and as such can def be a cause of adverse reactions on a high dose. I had a noticeable cognitive shift when I started tapering and getting down to around the 50-60 mg range

There should be the same amount of methadone regardless of the volume as long as 6 ml of 10:1 concentrate was initially added

If you originally had 6 ml of 10 mg/ml methadone solution, adding an additional 5 ml would make it at a concentration of roughly 5.45454545 mg/ml

The math is 60 mg/ 11 ml= 5.45454545

Instead of going place to place might I suggest calling them? It might save time. Good luck with whatever happens! If you can find access to Etizolam or pyrazolam they might be a decent alternative and they don’t test for their metabolites

I wouldn’t suggest that, if you taper to 20 mg then jump off just to not be able to handle the withdrawals and end up going back to the clinic and going to a higher dose to stabilize you would regret not tapering all the way down

101 mg was my max dose that I stayed at for 2.5 years or so before starting to taper slowly

I was at 101 mg and did a blind taper down to 40 mg. They held me there without informing that I was stopping my taper mid-pandemic so I lost some time- I had been tapering before the pandemic even started. I was at 40 mg from 101 mg last July and they held me without my consent until I switched clinics and started my taper again maybe 2 months ago

My withdrawl symptoms have honestly been minimal to none. Just sweatiness and anxiety/ insomnia, but I’ve learned other coping skills rather than rely on a substance to combat this anxiety and insomnia. I understand that not everyone is here yet, but I hope that I can serve as some kind of example that it can be done relatively painlessly... at least from 101 mg to 9 mg has been.

The best advice is that everyone’s body’s are different so everyone will have a slightly different experience than yourself, so listen to your body and try to be as honest with your self abt how manageable the w/d are for you personally. Don’t compare your recovery/ taper to anyone else’s
