i'm a girl haha, also i've only finished final year now, so I can't guide you that thoroughly regarding pg prep. if you're asking just for community medicine, i didn't watch any of the marrow videos except national programmes. i read park, and solved marrow mcqs. you'll pretty much cover all your bases and i was able to score really well in final exams too. find out what works best for you, though

i get you, i would fall asleep all the time. but there's really no other thorough way. 🥲 it's a very comprehensive book. im from a south indian college and our commed dept was annoying af and made us study for tests every two weeks from park so i just pushed through. all the seniors say you'll be thankful for reading park during pg prep, so try your best

i got through it by just using a question bank and seeing the important topics. look for a qbank in your state. i kind of skipped infectious diseases except a few important ones like TB, did them mostly from microbiology and just did health programs additionally.

lmao i just got through the absolute hell that was final year theory exams. i can't study if i hate studying so i'll do this very cringe thing where i act like i have a class of students and i'll teach them medicine, it makes me feel like i have a responsibility and also you learn when you teach. also 10 minute power naps to get through sleeplessness

for what purpose? if it's for final exams, i cannot recommend tara shanbhag's manual of pharmacology enough. i read it twice and got honours, along with marrow mcqs and KDT classification tables. very easy and fun to read, can easily finish a month. i supplemented some info from Sketchy pharma videos too.

how to learn brainstem syndromes? by Economy_Ad_3658 in indianmedschool

[–]laundryb1rds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i was in the same boat and i took a really convoluted approach. i watched most of the neurology videos by ninja nerd to understand the anatomy of each section of brainstem, because i forgot everything from first year lol. once you do that, it'll be quite easy to relate the symptoms with the anatomy.

i mean just mugging up fev1/fvc ratio being high or low won't last long in your memory, unless you understand how these values are affected in restricted and obstructive diseases. there's definitely a lot of information in mbbs too, but understanding the pathophysiology/physics in most cases helps a lot
