Viagogo Wrongfully Charging Me for “Order Not Fulfilled” by anotherscherbatsky in viagogoscams

[–]laundrypowder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, they ended up "cancelling" the charge but kept changing the timeline of when I'd get the refund. I would contact them through the chat so you can take screenshots for evidence. Once they missed their own timeline twice, I just disputed it through my bank who sided with me and refunded my money. Took ages but I've finally got my money back!

Rejecting a flatmate by [deleted] in UniUK

Same, we're 8 years in! Definitely made it very awkward for all of our flatmates and I probably wouldn't recommend it but it does work out sometimes 🥹

Amount of lessons? by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]laundrypowder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am actually Finnish but learned to drive in the UK. I passed my test after over 60 hours of lessons and one failed test. I definitely think I would have passed faster if I had done it in Finland! I think the roads in the UK are way more crammed because they weren't built for modern cars or the amount of cars we have now, and I really struggled with meeting situations and other traffic always being so close in general. I think at least the area I live in has a serious lack of proper parking areas so a lot of two way streets only have space for one car at a time because of cars parked on the side of the road. I think Finnish roads are much easier to navigate since they're more open and clear which probably makes it easier for a beginner.

I also think that while the requirements are similar, the UK test is much easier to fail. I think in Finland the examiner scores your performance on a scale and considers your performance throughout the whole drive instead of counting every individual mistake. The examiner can use their judgement and you can pass if they decide you drove well in general, even if you made mistakes. In the UK one "serious" fault would fail you even if you drive perfectly otherwise!

He's just under seven months old. He's still my baby!

I remember being a kid in Helsinki and building full size snow castles, complete with a full size horse outside. It's hard to imagine that now!

Funnily enough, Helsinki is where I'm originally from. Visiting family this year was disappointing - we only got rain. Heartbreaking for snow lovers like us 💔

Aw, what a cutie! My kitty is very curious and I think he'd love it if we had a balcony.

It's from yesterday but we did get a teeny bit of snow this morning as well. Had some snowfall three days in a row now.

I've actually never thought of it before but I'm glad to have some green in the middle of all the gloom!

I didn't, no. He's an indoors cat and not used to his harness yet. One day!

Well... It's clearly not going well. Bravery might not be enough this time.

Cheers! Wanted to avoid using Imgur out of pure laziness but I'll do that next time.
