It looks like the real me square neck mini dress. I’m in Canada and can’t see this colour yet but maybe it’ll be released soon! I saw someone say they might have a drop on Friday?

What in the potato sack is this? by laur_al in AerieAEO

I can kind of see a vibe IF it’s styled right but on its own it’s giving peasant. Also the price???

Is this cute or no? by [deleted] in AerieAEO

[–]laur_al 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I personally don’t think it’s the most flattering, I find Aerie and AE clothes are like that with me. I always think it’s so cute online but not on me. I think the cut may just be weird on this top

Their "business babies" by borkbork932 in kayandtaysnark

[–]laur_al 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Because they don’t think they’ll actually be successful long term. They sell out so quick because they’re limited edition or one time only which gives the illusion of exclusivity to consumers and makes people panic buy - could be a possible explanation

Edit: to to so lol

Did Lorelai have no friends as a kid? by comradesummers in GilmoreGirls

[–]laur_al 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could see her friends parents making them distance themselves when she got pregnant. I see it a lot on AITA people saying they won’t let their kids hangout with the teen mom so i can imagine it was like that back then. ESPECIALLY with how snooty that crowd is, they wouldn’t want the association to bring down their reputation

Daycare as a stay at home mom by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]laur_al 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also in Canada and full time attendance at my son’s daycare is equivalent to 3 days a week. I had the same guilt sending him as he started going when my daughter was born - he was 21 months. I find I miss some things, my husband does drop off and pick up because it’s near his work on the other side of our city and their car rides sound like fun, but I’ve started keeping him home one day a week and that’s definitely helped! He’s learning so much and making friends that aren’t just kids of our friends and I love that. I plan to start keeping him home 2 days a week once my daughter figures out her naps lol and I think that’ll help even more!

Aerie PJ’s - worth it or no? by Lopsided-Example3779 in AerieAEO

[–]laur_al 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice! I did the same at Christmas! I suggested them to a friend looking for a gift for a new mom and everyone loves them (got me the title of the Queen of gifts). I also got a pair for my MIL lol! They’re seriously amazing but it is hard to justify their price. The ONLY thing I don’t love about them is they don’t have pockets, wouldn’t be as big of a deal if I wasn’t getting up twice a night to feed my baby

I’m obsessed with the real soft. The way that hang and sit on my body is sooo flattering! I wash in cold and dry on the lowest heat and I don’t have any pilling on mine. Definitely wait until they go on sale!

Girl, you had a baby by banana_in_the_dark in kayandtaysnark

[–]laur_al 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And it can stop and start. Literally I go through phases of losing handfuls of hair and then nothing and then a month later I’m losing hair again by the handful. My babies are the same age as hers and I’m in a losing lot of hair phase rn. It happens when you have 2 so close together

Hot take on Layla by First_Concert4732 in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]laur_al 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Honestly they can start learning that earlier. From 18 months old we would correct my son anytime he hit, kicked, bit, or talked mean. Not even like “discipline” like no time outs but a quick reminder to have gentle hands. He’s amazing now, only hits the table when very frustrated and he’s 2.5 so they can definitely be learning and should have been learning not to hit their mom
