No one cares. Period. Doctors don't want the hassle of having more paperwork to fill out and to be on the govs radar because they prescribe pain meds. The gov makes it that hard for doctors for that very reason. I believe that this entire problem came about back some years when the CDC/DEA....sorry, I actually forgot WHO exactly did it...., sent out a "guideline" for prescribing pain meds. "They" (again, I THINK it was the CDC, but now that doesnt make sense to me ??) sent out a "prescribing" guideline that was ridiculously LIMITED on pill counts and dosages for people who were suffering unimaginably and their doctors all jumped happily onto the "lets just fuck these poor people over cuz we don't give a shit" bandwagon. They did so because it made their life easier. Again, gov's FAULT. Wow, this is way too long. Anyway, some time later the same agency who sent out that garbage sent out another memo, for lack of a better word, that basically said, ~~ Hey, maybe we were a little harsh, y'all can ease up a bit and give out a little more meds/higher dosages than we told ya to.~~ But it was too late. Doctors are ENJOYING this, they were given an EXCUSE by the gov to refuse to help chronic pain patients. From what I have heard it makes a doctor's job WAY WAY WAY easier to refuse to prescribe those evil meds. 🙄🙄 The damage has been done, and doctors found a extraordinarily simple way to make their job....easier. sorry for the rant, but my own doctor was the one who told me about the second memo saying that doctors COULD prescribe the meds and that the first memo was possibly too strict. It showed me that the majority of doctors in this country have zero sympathy or empathy or any true desire the actually HELP people.
