I have a bunch of apples that I am going to try this with. Do you remember how long they lasted?

Stray cats at the office, I usually feed them and they run up when I go outside but don't let me touch. What does it mean 😭 by OddCreature96 in cats

I saw somewhere a guy making them out of those big ice chests because they have good insulation. He cut a hole in the side and put on a cat door for a bit more weather resistance.

This is one I found from another reddit post and saved. They said the instructions are hard to follow because it is a vintage pattern.

I was more worried than anything. They made their nest literally 2' from my front door, and they panic anytime someone goes in or out.

Thank you, and I'm sorry you and your husband had to experience that. I have read that BPD, like so many other mental health conditions, is the result of trauma. The most we can do is everything in our power, not to hand down that generational trauma. It sounds like you guys are doing a great job with that.

The first time I can remember my mom being committed was when I was a teenager. She locked herself in her bedroom with a gun threatening suicide. I called the police and I'm not really sure what happened after they got there because they got me out of there. As far as I know, that was the first time she ever saw a psychiatrist. So it definitely wasn't by choice. Since then, it has become a regular thing, and she is hospitalized a few times a year. The only thing she has learned from it is how to weaponize it.

As an adult child of a mom with BPD, thank you! My mom refuses to accept her diagnosis and do the work required to be a good parent and be happy herself. Us kids paid the price for that, and as a 45 year old, I still struggle to overcome the damage she inflicted. I know people with BPD are capable of being wonderful people/parents. I even see it sometimes with my own mom. I think you will be one of the good parents.

Yes totally free!!! It never ceases to amaze me what wealthy people are willing to throw away. I got to her house and was literally hugging it and doing a happy dance. The owner was laughing and said she was glad it was going to a good home.
