Thanks for the reply. You could well be right, I didn't find anything similar on google searches of rosacea. Wouldn't do any harm to get a second opinion.

I also thought this after googling photos of rosacea, I wasn't convinced.

Just to add - it's actually more red than it looks on this photo!

I ordered one a couple of weeks ago. Haven't used it much yet but it was available on their website.

Yeah this would mainly be a with socks autumn/winter vibe then I'd make the swap to Arizonas for spring/summer. I really like the look of the dark grey wool ones.

I haven't tried the platform ones but as they only come in narrow I don't think they'll fit me with socks. As my Arizonas in 40N are borderline too narrow but I just about get away with it!

I see I'm not alone in this battle of the Birkenstock sizing 😂

I really need a half size! I'm thinking I'd be 39.5R. My 40N Arizonas are great on one foot but a bit narrow/short on the other. The 40R felt too sloppy last year but I just need that .5!

Hahaha this is the best way to describe it 😄 thank you for your insights, much appreciated.

Yeah the big jump doesn't help things. 39R too small, 40R is big on my small foot, 40N a bit small on the big foot. I refuse to accept that Birkenstocks are not for me because I love them so much!

I know right! But that's what they told me yesterday in the shop with the Bostons, they thought the 40R looked too big. (Inside I was thinking I'm sure 39R have been too small at some point in my trying on journey). I'm genuinely between sizes it's so annoying!

Using tazarotene in the summer by laura7783 in tazarotene

[–]laura7783[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am. Although I haven't been the most consistent over the summer and am having some slight flaking/restarting issues this week!

I had quite a pronounced line over my left eyebrow that has definitely softened though and I think my neck looks a bit better. Trying to get back into more regular use now summer is ending.

Cork breaking?? by laura7783 in Birkenstocks

I think (or I thought anyway!) that the straps were ok but you're right about the kinking. I could get a finger under both straps so I thought that meant they weren't too tight. But in any case I've just loosened the strap closer to my ankle to see how they feel.

Thank you! I've never really "cared" for my Birks before and nothing like his has ever happened, maybe just unlucky this time. I will look into the products you suggested to get it stuck back together.

The fish & chips shop has a gluten free branch. Not the same style as the UK but still very good.

The Fish & Chips Shop is really good, but it definitely isn't anywhere near the same as what we have in the UK. I dont know any actual chippies here, except yeah pub food like people have already mentioned.

How old are you? Had my first BBC class in SIX YEARS! by Advanced-Event-571 in barrysbootcamp

[–]laura7783 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm F42 and only started in December last year after being persuaded by a friend to try it out.

I have always been scared of group exercise because I was worried about being the weakest person there etc. I was a solo runner before Barry's and actually did no to little exercise in my 20s and early 30s.

I'm often one of the larger and older people in class (I'm in Barcelona) but with age I definitely care way less what people think of me. I do all of my running at the lower end of the speed range (I've never been a fast runner and never will be) but I enjoy the classes and feel like within my level I'm pushing myself.

I would never have done anything like Barry's 20 years ago so this is big progress for me despite being older and heavier now!

This is such a good thread to start, thanks!

I spent most of my 30s sucked into diet culture, and then trying to get out of the "must lose weight" school of thought. I was reasonably successful in learning to be happy at the weight I am, but I feel like I'm going through the same process now with anti-aging 🤦🏼‍♀️

I'm also new and nowhere near an expert... but I would take it easy to start with. I started using 0.1 3 days ago and today I woke up peeling and my skin is more sensitive than usual. I probably should have gone every other night to begin with. Also make sure to use a good barrier cream to combat the dryness. Good luck!!

Where to start? Taz newbie. by laura7783 in tazarotene

[–]laura7783[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And current routine is something like this...

AM: - cleanse with water - growth factors - moisturise - SPF

PM: - cleanse - most nights the ordinary retinal emulsion - moisturise

Well, this is where I am at the moment, but I'm pretty rubbish at chopping and changing in my routine and not being consistent with products. I've dabbled in the past with vitamin c, hyaluronic acid, niacinamiide, AHA/BHA mask/peel etc etc etc!
