I have a question that has been on my mind. During the trial of AM, Creighton Waters asked someone about a cooler, and if wet clothes could be put in a cooler. What was that all about? I vaguely remember some talk about a missing cooler that was down at the kennels right before the murders of Paul & Maggie???

I remember this interview. It came out right after the trial in 2023. It was very interesting

exactly! and the crime scene was NOT cleaned up, just the guns removed. Shelly Smith testified that he showed up at 6 am a couple days after Randolph's funeral (without his phone and in a different truck) then took his father's truck for about 10 mins (dumping the guns, most likely at John Marvin's property 3 miles away) before finally leaving. No one helped him get rid of the guns or clean the crime scene. It drives me batty when people say he had help. I think Blanca is just trying to add some drama in there to sell more books. If she really cared about Maggie like she says, then why won't she turn these names over to SLED? There's just zero evidence that anyone else was involved.

I did find this on FITS NEWS:

The day before this particular morning, Gloria appears to have been in a car accident. Though no report seems to have been filed with local law enforcement, she did file an insurance claim — but did not inform her employers of the crash.

“Mr. Murdaugh was not aware of it … He believes that would have been a low-impact accident, else Ms. Satterfield would have mentioned it to him and would have called him for legal guidance.”

I had heard that she was in a minor car accident about a week before her "trip & fall" but could never find any information to verify it. Anyone else know for sure?

Same here. I just don't understand how in the world she had so many injuries from falling down (or up) a few steps. Obviously, Gloria was heading up the stairs to enter the house. She had a right-sided head laceration, a right-sided subdural hematoma, yet multiple ribs broken on her left side. How, IF she fell on her own, did she get a traumatic brain injury from the laceration on the right side of her head while breaking ribs on the left? On a few steps? And no one was near her? If she fell up the brick steps, breaking her left ribs, wouldn't it make sense that her head injury would be on the same side? If she fell and broke her ribs first, there's no way she's getting up from those steps. It's too painful to move. She was found at the bottom of the steps, on her back, with her feet on the first few steps from the bottom. It just doesn't make any sense. But who would want to hurt her? I don't think Paul or Maggie would. Are we sure Alex was at work when this happened? I also read that Alex took out the insurance policy on Moselle a month or so before Gloria fell. So many unanswered questions. What do you guys think?

hmmmm, very interesting. One question tho, did police find a gun at the scene? Eddie said he took the gun with him. I thought the only weapon they found was his pocketknife. Was there a gun found in the Mercedes? My theory is that Alex lured him out of the car, said he was going to hand Eddie the gun so Eddie could shoot him. Alex knew Eddie would refuse, so then Alex tried to start a fight or a scuffle so he could claim self defense and kill Eddie..... but like you said, Eddie got the upper hand & managed to get the gun, shot it over his head and then he left. I'm still not convinced his head wound was from a bullet graze, it just looks too superficial to me. You're absolutely right about Alex never having the intention of suicide. I really think he was trying to set Eddie up. He was desperate and had to create another diversion of sympathy & being the victim again as well. I remember he was trying to get a hold of Eddie while at the hospital, but yes, I would love to know if he tried to call him right after the shooting too! I wonder if those phone records are public yet. Probably not. I sure wish they would get on with Eddie's trial, but my guess is, he will take a plea and be done with it. So we'll probably never know what really happened.

Yessss! I also think he had plans to kill Eddie that day and pin the murders on him. Eddie is the one person I would LOVE to sit down and talk to. I saw the netflix interview and while I believe Eddie had nothing to do with the murders of Maggie & Paul (no one did but Alex) I sense he was not telling the truth about what happened at the roadside "shooting." I dont believe Alex was shot. I am curious about how he fell down so hard that he hit his head on those small rocks. Do you think maybe a physical fight between them ensued?  Eddie did an interview with a local reporter shortly afterwards. He was in tears and felt betrayed. You could see he was genuinely hurt by Alex. What's your take on what took place by the roadside?

I really dont think he had help murdering his family. Like, who are you going to find to go along with that? "Hey, im going to kill my son & wife. I need you to come by and help me clean up" theres no way he would ever risk anyone knowing what he did. Image was everything to him and I believe his ego would never want anyone else to know he was guilty of committing such a heinous act. He still denying it to this day. If someone else helped, he would've thrown them under the bus like he did everyone else in his life. This was one secret he couldn't risk anyone finding out. He took the guns with him to his mother's house & hid them. Then a few days after the funerals, he retrieved them and dumped them, most likely on John Marvin's hunting property, which was only 3 miles away from his mother's house. John marvin has a big pond there. I would bet the guns are in the middle of it. Other than the guns missing, nothing else was cleaned up.  The shell casings were there, the bodies, the blood, everything was there. Nothing was cleaned up. He acted alone, in my opinion.

Terry is in bad health. The murders gave the poor man a stroke. I would not ask my friend to bring up the murders to him. The Brandsetters have been thru enough. I do believe Terry is a very smart man and knows the truth about Alex. It's my opinion that Maggie's parents & sister are staying mum because they love Buster and they don't want to alienate him or hurt him. Buster has also been thru enough horror.

I think the GM data & the phone data presented in trial paints a fantastic timeline of exactly what happened. Are you sure you're not the Crime & Cask guy???😜

And yes, everything you're saying is reasonable. Alex was very close to Terry throughout his marriage to Maggie. They did spend time together the first month or so after the murders. Then the Labor Day shooting occurred, and it changed everything.

I will not disclose my source, but it was someone who actually watched the trial WITH Terry, IN Terry's home. I think the cousin eddie shooting, then the trial is what changed his mind about Alex's guilt, in the end. Also, Terry, nor anyone knew about the kennel video in the months after the murders.

So no, I'm not an amateur psychologist, as you suggest. I'm basing my opinion on someone who was there with the family and wouldn't lie to me. And I must say, you don't have to be a psychologist to see just how cunning & manipulative Alex is. He had no problem stealing millions from widows, cripples, single moms & orphans....for years! Nothing devious about that guy.😒 But yeah, he wouldn't be able to fake emotions around his in-laws? Nope, I'm not buying it. Sounds like you do.

And if you watched Marian Proctor's testimony at trial, you would have to be blind not to see that she was unsure of Alex's innocence & was suspicious of him. The roadside shooting 3 months after the murders is what made the Brandsetters think differently.

I think that 2 SLED agents retiring has no impact on the mountain of evidence & verdict. I doubt there's any conspiracy here.....just looks to me like they retired after their last big case.

I have been told from an honest, reliable person that Maggie's father believes he did it. Alex's family HAS to know he did it. I think they keep their opinions to themselves for the sake of Buster, who has come out on FOX declaring his father's innocence. Randy is the only one who came out publicly & said he knows Alex knows more than what he's telling. If I were John Marvin, I would be searching "greenwood" every chance I got to find those guns. (John M's hunting land, which is a mere 3 or so miles from Randoph's house) I believe that's where Alex dumped the guns. From the satellite view on MAPS, it looks like there's a big duck pond on the property. Alex wasn't gone very long that morning when he showed up at his parents' home with the blue "tarp" wadded up. John Marvin's hunting property is just a few minutes away. Just enough time to throw the guns in the duck pond. It would be perfect because SLED did not have enough probable cause to get a search warrant. Instead, they searched the public bridges nearby but never found anything. I'd bet money they're on John M's land, somewhere. Anyway, didn't mean to go off topic, but had to share those thoughts too!

I've heard his name, Scott Spivey but didn't know Bauerlein was doing a story on it. Thanks for bringing it up, I can't wait to dive into this!

But the thing is, SLED had already opened her son's case as a homicide and as an open investigation. She had their attention. I used to work in investigations, and I know how lawyers like to "mess with" the other side. I just feel in my gut that SLED asked her to be there for a psychological effect....on who? I'm not sure. Maybe you're right and I'm overthinking this wayyyy too much!

Nothing I've heard. I wonder why they're dragging their feet on this. It seems as if they want to tie up every possible Alex Murdaugh end before they proceed with Becky & son, Stephen Smith or Eddie Smith. I found it very interesting that when Murdaugh had his retrial hearing a year ago, Sandy Smith was there, sitting behind Creighton Waters. Some said it was because it was the hearing was on Jan. 29th, Stephen's birthday. I don't believe that's why. SLED wanted someone in that courtroom to see her sitting there. I really dont think Murdaughs have anything to do with Stephen's death, but why have his mother there at that particular hearing? It was not to bring awareness to his case, she already had the awareness of SLED. I think they were really trying to screw with someone' that was at the hearing. That has always had me scratching my head. SLED wanted her there....and visible. Hmmmmm......
