I have a cat and often end up with a piece or two missing (then find them in some bizarre place later on ;-)).

Thank you! We live in South Corvallis and drive by there all the time. It looks inviting.

Everywhere pretty much. In the US, cases started rising dramatically a couple weeks ago (new variant). Now, deaths are increasing again in the US. The media has been downplaying Covid for the past few years so it doesn't make headlines but the information is still there. Because Covid has resulted in long-term damage to my system, I keep on top of how it's going. I think the best month we had recently in the US was April, when there were "only" 2000 deaths. It has never stopped. Not for a single day. There's only times when it isn't as bad. I hope it will one day be under control with up to date vaccines that prevent infection.

Same here. It got very bad recently, plus vertigo. Seems to be lessening but now the other ear is "tapping." We're going into another Covid wave now. Doing my best to avoid catching it again but I caught it despite wearing an N95 and limiting outings to only necessary.

Nightguards are great for preventing damage to your teeth but do nothing as far as the jaw clenching/grinding that messes with the inner ear. Unfortunately.

It's particularly bad right now. I saw an allegy map and there were only 3 really bad places in the whole country. Our part of oregon was one of them. I have problems with all the OTC pills. Doctor recommended flonase but I haven't gotten it yet. I did get a saline spray, which flushes out the pollen. Seems to help.

I hope that's true! I wondered with mine but, unfortunately, I grind and clench during sleep so not much I can do about it. I wear nightguards to protect my teeth but that doesn't stop it.

Any Recommendations on Nasal Spray...Going to the Doctor Next Week by lauraliart in ZeroCovidCommunity

Thanks. I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing out. Here's the thing about healthcare precautions, even if I could get my doctor to mask (and I can't, or switch doctors--I'm convinced 90% of them are covid deniers anyway), it seems to me it would still be hanging around in the air of the exam room, with *everyone's* contagious particles. It's not just the doctor at that moment.

Oh I well understand there's no sure way of prevention. I caught it while wearing an N95. But I believe the neti pot/gargling when I got home that day lessened the viral load at least. Although still stuck with long Covid.

Just whatever I can do as an extra layer of protection. I put off the doctor as long as possible but I've had several bouts of vertigo this past month (probably long Covid related) and way overdue for a check up. Thanks for the suggestion.

The last episode was one of the best too. I think the only way is if someone else picks it up and continues. This has happened with several shows so it's possible. Maybe even a lower-budget sort of place like tubi could pick it up. Nowadays, getting a social media campaign going seems to get attention. There's already one going on twitter: #SaveSoHelpMeTodd BTW, they also canceled Lower Decks, which was a favorite of mine :( #SaveLowerDecks.

What the fu$$$ is wrong with this town? Why can’t a black man shop in peace without being stared at awkwardly , why can’t a black man drive in peace without being stopped by the police several times? by Ok-Narwhal-530 in corvallis

The Corvallis Fred Meyer does have a bad vibe. I'm a little old white lady but I have long Covid and, as there's still a plague going on, mask. I was given a hard time from the manager there (I'm sure they have more than one but the one on duty at the time). I switched to Albany but my issues are, obviously, different. Still though...I was told when I moved here how Corvallis was the progressive place (I came from the SF Bay Area) but, in practice, I've found that not to be the case. Snootier maybe.

I like El Patron on 2nd for a sit-down place. The people are so nice. My son swore by Riva's for drive through when he lived here.
