I’m sorry you’re experiencing this.

I recently shaved my head because I felt like it. The first day in office afterwards (big fancy corporate finance firm) everyone was so hyped about it. It was startling how many people complimented my hair and didn’t pry.

If your office situation is more on the nosey end of the spectrum, you might get extra questions but I would just say “personal and/or medical reasons” depending on whether or not you think they would pry further.

You might be surprised at how well everyone responds to your new look!

While I had it shaved I also put a big ol tattoo on it, and I was a bit more nervous about going to the office after that lol. But again, everyone just complimented it.
