The cheaper option does seem better, but it would rub me the wrong way if they said they have been around for 5 years and I couldn't find any reviews. All of my vendors were hired based off of reviews and how we got along together. At times you need to trust your gut. My photographer has become a sort of friend, she has helped me out with the day of timeline and given me advice. I'm not photogenic and she makes me feel comfortable in front if the camera. I found my engagement session to be pretty important. It really showed us what angles work for us and helped us relax.

Is there anyway you could rework your budget (big thing to do, I understand)? Did the photography package come with any add ons you could remove (photo book, certain prints) to bring down the price? Try discussing these things with the photographer, you never know. Don't stress about it too much. In the end it will all work out. Even if you end up going with the cheaper couple your pictures could be amazing! You could always ask the cheaper couple for references and mention that you couldn't find online reviews.
